Kanferri Villa

Definitely loved our stay at Kanferri Villa. You can tell that Ferran and Madura put a lot of care into this property and try to ensure every guest has a pleasant stay. The hotel is very small and private and it easy to get to know the other guests during breakfast at the communal table. The location is a short drive from the beaches and was a great place to relax and to embark on day trips to Galle Fort or Mirissa. We would definitely stay here again.

There was a bit of partying going on in the neighborhood due to the New Year celebrations. Just to be aware if you book during those dates.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Madura did a fantastic job as the caretaker of the property. Our room was sparkling clean with an AC and a good shower (great shampoo). It was easy to park our vehicle within the premises and that was also free of charge. This place is located in a quiet neighborhood close to the center of Ahangama and that is exactly what we wanted. We loved laying in the hammocks in the common area. All communication with the owner and Madura was excellent. Breakfast was quite good (excellent coffee) even though improvements can be made, like offering more breakfast options. Overall we had a good stay and can recommend Kanferri villa.

We think that this place is expensive compared to what you actually get. It is quite easy to find accommodation nearby that is very close quality wise for half of the price you pay at Kanferri villa. Therefore we expected a bit more. The room is quite small with no fridge. What the owner might want to consider is offering something more service wise (since you pay quite a lot). It would for example be nice if they focus on being a little more proactive and offer something like fresh lime juice, coffee or tea in the afternoon. We also thought it was a bit strange that there was only one outside chair in front of each room even though two people can stay in each of them. It would be nice to have a mini bar or the option of buying drinks. The "extra touch" is missing.

The location was great. Quite neighborhood, very local feel. Almost as if you rented an actual house and lived there.

The place is cozy and relaxing. Ferran and Madura are great hosts. They supported us with airport transfer, scooter rental and local guide. Breakfast is very good, with two different options and and Madura’s kindness.

Room would have been better with a little bit more space.

Our stay at Kanferri Villa was great! The staff is amazing and gave great recommendations and helped to organize a scooter, surfing lessons, a lake tour etc. e. Furthermore we really enjoyed that the villa is located a little further away from the busy main road but still close to the beach. We would highly recommend the Kanferri Villa!!

Only a minor thing: Would be nice to have the option to get a drink during daytime when you chill at the pool :)

Everything! The whole place (from the garden, to the breakfast area and rooms) was immaculate! The accommodation is so beautifully and thoughtfully designed, that just looking at everything was a complete joy! I loved my room so so much, i relaxed just by looking at it! Sitting outside and listening to the nature sounds was so soothing! Ferran is a perfect host and puts a lot of work and dedication into this place, which you can tell! Loved the healthy breakfast yoghurt bowl! Kanferri Villa is a hidden gem! Absolutely recommend and would stay there again - but longer :) !

The exceedingly warm welcome by both Ferran and Madura was so very appreciated! They have us fantastic recommendations to make the best of our stay in Ahangama. Very responsive and great room, great breakfast and a relaxing feel at the Villa! Will absolutely return!

Very helpful and professional guest. Rooms are really pretty and well decorated. Perfectly located for very calm and quiet nights (while it's often pretty noisy in Sri Lanka). Good breakfast (the healthy one. it was fresh and it is really appreciable in this country) and the pool was really enjoyable. We liked the owner’s ecological awareness !

We started our Sri Lanka trip in Ferrans house & it was the perfect place to chill out for a few days and climatise! We loved the location - it was so calm & peaceful yet just a gentle stroll or quick tuk tuk ride into Ahangama. Ferran & Madura were wonderful hosts, we felt totally at ease & I'm still dreaming about Madura's gorgeous breakfasts 😍 Thanks so much for having us guys!
