Kanferri Villa

Exceptionally beautiful villa designed and maintained with so much level of detail and care. The owner Ferran and location manager Madura are both very kind and extremely helpful. Ferran even stayed up in the middle of the night to personally welcome me to the villa. Never experienced such an amazing level of hospitality! Thank you for having me.

We loved the vibes and enjoyed our stay. Being a little off of the city center and the garden& the pool gives you space to relax and calm down. We rented a scooter by the host ferran and it was so uncomplicated and arrived like 5 minutes later. Also he was daily at the villa, had a chat with us, wanted to know the guests and took care of the villa. During the stay we met lovely people and hang out with them. Regarding the room, they are a bit smaller but enough to store two big luggages. AC was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka - so quiet! You don't have a fridge in your room, which guarantees also a quiet room, but having the opportunity to use the fridge in the outdoor kitchen.

The room and outside space are beautiful! Every corner of the property is very elegantly decorated and well arranged, as well as super clean! The common space has everything you need - a pool, big table with benches, hammocks, sunbeds and a fridge to chill yoour drinks. Location js away from the main street, making the place very quiet and chill. What we yet loved most about Kanferri Villa is the people who run it - Ferran and Madura are super nice, passionate and helpful people who will do their best to make your stay exceptional. Ferran recommended us an excellent surfing school and offered local tips where to go and Madura was always there preparing delicious breakfast and ready to arrange additional activities, like lake safari or scooter rental. We enjoyed every minute of our stay! :)

Everything was perfect! Only tiny detail we would list is no option for a local breakfast, but the toasts and eggs prepared by Madura were so good, we quickly forgot about our Sri Lankan breakfast wishes ;)

Ferran and his friend Madura were very nice, had good tips and helped us where they could. +it felt like home. +in the common area you can meet other people and exchange your experiences/tips. first we were not sure if a common area for all guests together, sitting to other people while you breakfast is so good, but now we can say, that it was very good because we met so many nice people from different countries: Poland, Latvia, Spain and got many tips. with one couple we also went surfing and for a drink. +you can easily rent a scooter at Maduras friends. he helps you a lot. scooter riding was not that hard as we first expected it. when you can do it in Thailand oder Bali, you can do it here as well. Just be a defensive driver and pay attention to the buses. Went to Mirissa, Weligama and Unawatuna with little stops at beaches or local fruit stands. Wonderful experience! local buses, tuktuks also possible. went with the bus to next destination and worked very well. +Kabalana beach is very good for surfing beginners. we had our first tries ever there and it was good. There are also many places if you are more advanced. Ferran will tell you. +the villas, the common area and the garden are very beautiful with a lot of attention to the details. very calm area, no traffic sound. just 800m walk to the main street. +everything was very clean and smelled very good. +breakfast is just made for you and amount of breakfast is very good.

Amazing stay at the villa with very kind and helpful people. I recommend booking a room here for a peaceful stay, away from the busy life. The aesthetics and atmosphere are bohemian and beautiful. They also serve healthy breakfast.

Located away from the busy Main Street, arriving back each day was so peaceful. It’s only a short tuktuk to town and hosts help you arrange. Can walk to beach if wanted. Owner and host are both lovely and are always available at all times to contact and prepare breakfast in morning. It is extremely well maintained property and it’s a very safe and relaxing environment.
