The Sanctuary - Private Pool Villas

Our stay at The Sanctuary – Private Pool Villas in Gili Air was truly unforgettable. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness by the owners and the entire team — it instantly felt like home. The owners were absolutely lovely — always around with a smile, ready to give great recommendations on where to go, what to do, and even how to get to our next destination. Their local insight really helped us make the most of our time on the island. The villa itself had such a peaceful and relaxing vibe. We stayed in a two-story unit with stunning jungle views from the upper floor — waking up to that was just magical. It was the perfect escape to disconnect and slow down. The reception team was also wonderful — super friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist with anything we needed. The place has everything to make your stay easier: laundry service, bike rentals, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere throughout. I’m especially grateful because we got to celebrate a birthday here — and it couldn’t have been more special. The team went out of their way to make it memorable, and I’ll always remember their kindness and the effort they put in to make the day feel truly magical. Huge thanks to everyone at The Sanctuary — you made our time on Gili Air feel like a dream. We’ll definitely be back to this little corner of paradise!

Pool and oitsidewas area was great and the property had lots of space.

The cleaning could have been better, we had to request the bins to be changed and rooms cleaned. The paths to the property are not great close to the villa but this is not the fault of the property and similar to a lot of villas on the island

The villa was really nice and modern. Had everything we needed. And the location was really good and close to everything, beach and the main road. Gili Air is a small island so very easy to get by and visit everywhere in 2 days. The Sanctuary villa was amazing! Me and my friends defined enjoyed

Great space - especially the outdoor Living area with pool, lounge , kitchen etc

The generator was broken, which can be a challenge on an island with many power fallouts

We had the most fabulous time staying at Sanctuary Villas. The staff were incredible, the breakfasts were delicious and the villa was everything we hoped it would be. The staff went above and beyond to help us make our stay the best it could be. We were very sad to leave and would heartily recommend the Sanctuary Villas as a great place to stay on Gili Air
