Ama-Lurra Resort - Pool Villa

Loved our stay at Ama-Lurra, so peaceful and relaxing. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great location on the waterfront. Look forward to returning when the restaurant is reopened.

Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et les villas sont idéalement placées. C’est très calme et c’est ce que je recherchais.

La sdb était bien équipée mais il manquait juste une crème pour le corps.

Great location

The hotel was being upgraded so had no restaurant, bar or pool. Essentially we had a room only which didn’t constitute the 5 stars the hotel advertises. As such we moved hotel and are still chasing a refund - paid for 5 nights and stayed 1 only

On the beach

We chose this resort mainly because of its excellent location. It is situated on the northern side of the island, right by the beach. Although it’s on the opposite side from the harbor, you can easily get there by bike within a few minutes. At the same time, the resort is located far enough from the mosque, so any noise from it is barely noticeable, which we really appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The villas are spacious, which we really liked, although they are starting to show some wear and could benefit from some renovation in places. As mentioned, we picked this resort primarily for its seaside location, but in the end, we spent almost no time on the beach. One of the reasons was that there was no service available at the beach loungers, so we preferred going to beach bars with loungers where service was provided. Probably because of the prime location, the price of the resort is slightly higher, and in hindsight, it might not have been necessary for us to pay extra for that. Currently, the restaurants are being renovated, so breakfast is served at a nearby place where you can choose from four meal options. Overall, the resort wasn’t bad at all, but considering the value for money, we feel that we have stayed in better accommodations for the same price in the past.
