The location was superb for my travel from Auckland - not to far but far enough to feel well away from the bustle of the city.

Beautiful views, clean and comfortable

Nowhere upstairs to store clothes or bags. Accommodation for four adults is quite small but good for a family. The lock on bathroom door and extractor fan not working. Only 3 glasses and 3 forks. Beautiful view and good outdoor seating but cushions weren’t stored so couldn’t sit outside as soaking.

The Villa layout, location, views and in-room sauna

Linen and towelling needs to be washed better as it didn’t smell good. Basic amenities like tissues, milk, continental breakfast offerings would be suggested for the price point and add to certain personalised touchpoints. As cleaning fee is imposed asking guests to remove rubbish should not be required.

We loved the beautiful view out towards Mangawhai Heads, and the peaceful surroundings. The furnishings were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the lounge chairs were too. The unit had a very nice deck with comfortable outdoor furniture. The shower was good pressure and easy to adjust to get the right temperature. We liked having a dishwasher.

Our expectations were high because it was advertised as a luxury stay, and priced accordingly. We felt this was misleading. For example, there was a coffee maker and a nice selection of tea bags, but no milk, and no sugar sachets. There was no dining table. Although advertised as two separate bedrooms the unit was in fact open plan, with just a retractable blind separating the lounge area from the main bedroom. The blind only reached 2/3 of the way to the floor. The other bedroom was the mezzanine floor, which also was open to the lounge area below. There were no windows in either bedroom. Although the unit was clean, there were cobwebs on the high ceiling. The bathroom vanity had bright orange packing under one corner, and the bathroom fan didn't work. Some of the wall hooks had come loose. On departure, we were asked to put our rubbish in the wheelie bin at the gate. This was really no trouble, but again we felt it was not consistent with the luxury branding.

The Cabin was new and perfect for a couples. The outlook is very plesant and super quiet. Well fitted out (but no clothes washing facility.)

It's a bit remote from nearest town/shops, further to beaches. Going out for dinner is a bit of a drive but impossible. No milk or bottle of wine provided. You have to bring every thing, milk, snacks and meals. No local owner suggestions for restaurants, cafe or beaches. Communication with owner very poor. Contact details on Booking.com is with the previous owner. Hasn't been changed. Over priced for what is effectively a cabin in the hinterland.

This 2 level mini house was great for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 3y and 8y. Everything we needed was provided, lovely soaps. We didn't see anyone else during our stay, the scenery was lovely. I would stay here again, just need a tall fan for the upstairs bedroom as it was a bit warm.

The upper level where the kids slept was too warm at night even though we had the aircon blasting. A tower fan might help with that.

It looks modern and luxury in the picture - nice view and modern bathroom.

Firstly, the host was not responsive to both email and text message before check in. Secondly, the first villa allocated to us was not cleaned when we arrived to check in. Waited for almost two hours to get a response. Finally we were allocated to a different villa. It was cleaned and tidied and the beds were made. However there are some previously broken hooks on the wall are all wobbly. One of the lights upstairs is not working so the area is quite dark for my children. No clothes hangers, tissue box and extra rubbish bags provided. It’s not quite up to the luxury expectations as advertised. Lots of ants on the kitchen
