The hosts were very warm & friendly, they always asked if I needed help with anything. They were sociable but completely respected my own privacy, which is also important to me. The room was clean & only 5 minute walk to shops & restaurants, 20 minute walk to the beach. Definitely recommend 👌

The family are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The room was large with two very comfortable double beds. They also have a tuk tuk which was very handy. We were given a room with a kitchen, with a two-ring burner and a small fridge. Small shared communal space at the front. Everything is extremely clean.

No hot water. Not a problem for us, but maybe should be mentioned. Our window opened onto the side of the family's house, which was a storage area. The bathroom although very clean needs some attention, especially to the toilet and window area. All minor issues, could be sorted.

Lovely big and clean room and bathroom with good working Wi-Fi and fan. Our room was upgraded on arrival to one with a kitchen which we didn’t actually use or need but was still a nice touch! Hosts lived next door and were available when needed but respected our space and were not overbearing. The property is located a 15 minute walk away from the beach and very close to the Unawatuna bus stop which makes it very convenient for accessing the beach, Unawatuna and also the surrounding area by bus, including Galle. A small part of the walk is on the busy main road with no pavement and buses driving past quickly. This wasn’t a problem for us, just something to be aware of!

No hot water in the shower but this wasn’t a big problem for us as it was hot anyway! No toiletries provided. Toilet leaked into the bathroom a little.

I was glad there was a mosquito net as several flies and mozzies in the room!
