Siesta Key Beach House

Great location and very private zone. We love the area. and its beaches.

We loved all we found.

Location was perfect! Beautiful bay view with a dock.

There was a lot of construction going on the whole week we were not aware of. Just kinda loud early mornings.

Wasn’t as described. Was dirty when arrived.

Location. The decking on the waterfront was a beautiful place to sit and relax. The proximity to the beach was great - 5mins walk is ideal. Both bathrooms appear to be recently renovated. Great access to the main bars and restaurants via the trolley bus also.

Kitchen was quite full of appliances and various items that previous occupants have left. It leaves no room for any food items to store, given that it’s a self catering facility that was quite difficult. A few of the kitchen appliances were not working and had several coffee machines which possibly makes the place look cluttered. The bbq/grill is old and needs replacing ideally. Also, some addition of outdoor lights would be helpful to assist with the use of the grill.

The house is in a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil setting. A fresh, clean scent was very noticeable upon opening the door on arrival. The house was very clean. Pool off slider of master bedroom was perfect for swimming later in the day when it was too hot to be at the beach. Great water pressure in master shower. Great location for taking the trolley to Siesta Key Village for dinner.

I did not like having to wash all our towels (or a charged would be incurred) when no laundry detergent was provided. I did purchase detergent but other guests could just throw towels in without soap or bleach which makes having guests wash the towels for the next guests VERY unsanitary. I was also charged a fee for cleaning so I don't expect to wash towels for the next guests. The house had only 1 washcloth provided so only 1 person got to use a washcloth the entire week. The few bath towels that were provided are very worn and need to be replaced. No bathmats were provided. No handsoaps were provided. Only one garbage bag was provided for a week's stay. A starter kit of these items would have been helpful. The comforter on the master bed had not been washed as there was food and stains on it. Everyone complained that the mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable and need to be replaced.

Excellent location. Quiet, yet convenient to the trolley line, beach and restaurants. Plenty of comfy chairs in the living area, no mildew smell. The shared small pool and patio are clean and private. Fairly nice furniture and fixtures. Small, but clean and private pool. Beautifully landscaped grounds and small screened porch. Nice appliances. Feels safe. Spacious master bedroom.

Building in picture is not the actual unit. Grubby around door handles. No clear instructions on accessing the dock without barging in on the neighbors. Wrong WiFi name given in emailed instructions. Hall shower drain backs up and threatens to flood the bathroom. No shampoo or even place to put soap in showers. No laundry soap, but you’re expected to wash and dry all towels before leaving. Ice maker doesn’t work. Broken handle on beach gear cart.
