nothing to dislike

A friend had recommended this place and I’m so glad she did. We (mother and daughter) absolutely loved our time at Marari Villas. The area was an unspoilt tropical paradise, and we mostly had the beach to ourselves except for the occasional fisherman and boys playing football at sunset. The staff were wonderful and looked after us, and we particularly enjoyed chatting to Jibin after our meals. The team helped us organise a day at the backwaters which was lovely and stress free. The food was DELICIOUS. It was so nice having our private meals by the pool and to experience local home cooking. Would highly recommend their taxi driver for the journey to/from the villa.

We stayed in the frangipani villa which has an outdoor bathroom, best to stay in one with a closed bathroom if you’re scared of creepy crawlies. There are no amenities in the area (if you are expecting beach bars/ restaurants), but there are some resorts further along the beach within a short walk/ few minutes in a tuk tuk.

Everything. The villa is beautiful, the staff are so attentive. Special mention for Lal. The food was incredible, the pool was amazing and just what is needed in the heat. There are beaches a short walk away but we stayedin the villa most of the time because it was so nice.

Small thing but I think maybe a bit more info on the payment method. Everything was fine but I was a bit nervous doing a bank transfer as I was expecting to pay on arrival.

Food was fantastic. On order. This is a small but truly wonderful location with a handful of staff ready to go the extra mile whenever needed for anything. A must visit!

Food options could be better

We were absolutely delighted with the whole of the property from its original wooden decor inside, the luxurious of the main bedroom & its beautiful bathroom. The main area was really excellent and the outside of the pool area with the hammocks, dining area was exceptional. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. All the team that looked after us were extremely welcoming, friendly, courteous, efficient and literally couldn’t do enough for us. All the service they gave us was second to none. The team all got on like one big family and that reflects in how well the place is run. We had a lovely relationship with all the team & had some really good laughs. All the food we had off the menu was delicious, with each dish being full of fresh, fragrant & excellent taste. The team did a fabulous job for my husband’s birthday with decorating the place with balloons & delivered an outstanding decoration of the candlelight meal making it so special. I was truly overwhelmed of how they pulled it off whilst we weren’t there. They helped us also with having a wonderful regular taxi driver for us which made it all the more easier for going places and he was friendly & polite. We would extremely recommend the Frangipan villa to everyone we know.

Nothing we didn’t like at all and it was what we needed for our holiday of relaxation . Maybe the thing we’d suggest is some swinging chairs or a comfy chair in the covered area outside (outside bedroom door).
