Phaedrus Living Venus Seaview Lighthouse Villa

the location is close to the Mall and 10 min walk from the beach. the lighthouse beachfront is nice with great pathways. Paphos is a nice town with good restaurants like the Lodge.

he place was spacious but dirty and run down; the kitchen lacked basic essentials, the TV was set to a foreign language (my guess Yiddish) and not easy to watch. the pillow cases were YELLOW and the sofas had holes. the pool was not clean. the place is hard to get to because the instructions are not complete, and I gather they are not complete because owners don't want to say go "straight on paved road, then go past overturned trash dumpsters into unpaved road and when you get to an unpaved an unkept could-de-sac with a getto like feel, you have arrived". Also, nothing on booking said I had to put up 500 euro deposit before getting the keys - this should be made clear.

Perfect location, beautiful place!

Very good location, near the beach, restaurant and supermarket. Five bedrooms with clean towels, only lack of blanket. Beautiful living room with dining tables and kitchen. Everything is great.

Bathrooms are quite small and not enough towel hangers

The house was beautiful! the location is excellent right next to a beautiful beach including option for water sports. the villa was spotless with plenty of extra towels, pillows, soap and shampoo. At first, the immediate area around the house seemed less then luxurious/resort like but the neighbors were all very friendly and we had total privacy. as an aside, we left our passports in the safe and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us by arranging to have them sent to the airport in time for us to make our flight. I would highly recommend this Villa for your next vacation.

Only challenging part was finding the location. Waze gets you close but you really need some sort of video directions included in email explaining the directions.

The house is beautiful and is in a great location.

The house had many maintenance and cleanliness issues which caused problems throughout our stay. I can summarise as follows: - female sanitary product in the pool on arrival. Reported straight away but ended up fishing out ourselves after no one came within 24 hours (didn’t want the kids in the pool until it was cleared). - green layer of algae around the top of the pool. All clothes were stained green. Kids hair turned the water green when rinsing after being in the pool. - pool drain was broken. Reported on day 1. Not fixed until day 9. This was dangerous as could cause cut feet if anyone stood on it. - outdoor pool lights and outdoor canopy lights didn’t work. Reported to pool maintenance person on day 3. Fixed on day 9 (pool maintenance man stated he had already reported it previously but had never been fixed). - kitchen tap was very loose. This did get fixed when reported. - air conditioning units were leaking. These got fixed whilst we were there (day9) - rear blind was stuck up with glue. Came down when pulled to close. Fixed when reported. - cupboard door to washing machine was hanging off. Not fixed despite being reported. - cigarette burns on inside and outside sofas. - lots of overgrown grass/weeds in garden. - maintenance team in the house for over half a day towards the end of our stay. Noisy and meant we couldn’t use the facilities. - cleaners sat on the wall outside of the house from 10am on the day of check out (despite us notifying the management company that we will be out by 11am) - bathroom fans not working (fixed on day 9 of our stay) - general worn and tired feel to the villa. Management were responsive when notified, however these things should have been dealt with before we arrived. We paid a lot of money (over £1k per night) for luxury. This villa could be that, but the maintenance and general state of cleanliness/repair means it is far far from luxury. We are really disappointed with our experience.

The villa was perfect! Clean, spacious, well equipped and in an ideal location with an amazing view! Can't wait to be back! :)
