Beautiful cottage type house with super comfortable beds and stunning views. The owner was very responsive too.

The heater in the living room was not working and I wish we were alerted that the cutlery and crockery were in the dishwasher which I discovered only the following morning before we checked out.

Sound travels through the whole house. Limited power points in the bathroom for washing machine and dryer.

The owner was very prompt in responding & we managed to turn the electric supply on. The house was beautiful & the supply of crockery & cutlery was sufficient. Every morning there are lots of birds, especially beautiful Kookaburras, perching on the balcony. It was a wonderful experience! Due to the location, the house has fantastic views of the ocean & dock.

The electric supply kept tripping during our 3 days 2 nights stay. The worst was it tripped in the middle of both nights & the heater was down. We found a dirty towel in the washer the first day we were there.

The house is definetely in high need of a good clean: the kitchen furniture was sticky, the wardrobes were super dusty, … I didn’t expect many amenities, but at least shampoo in both bathrooms would have been nice. The toilet on the upper floor was leaking. It looked like it was the pipe extracting the water after flushing, and this water was dripping on the lower floor bathroom, making it unusable. We told the owner and she promised she’ll call a plumber the next morning. We got no communication about it and only when I asked in the afternoon she said she had called “the” plumber (as if there was only one?) and he was busy for the day, so that was all the help. We felt then like they were not very interested into helping. The view is great and I understand this is not a hotel, but paying more than 400 dollars per night I feel you deserve a little bit more as a guest.

The location was nice and the views were picturesque. The birds were a plenty if you don’t mind the sound of kookaburra’s….

unfortunately the property is very outdated and requires a lot of maintenance. To get to the property from the carport (which doesn’t have a roof) there is a lengthy set of steps, not ideal when it’s raining, not great for people with mobility issues and not convenient when carrying luggage/groceries. The driveway is very steep, best suited for experienced drivers to navigate. When we arrived, the beds were left unmade, rubbish hasn’t been taken out, toilets were dirty and dishes left in dishwasher. The host organized a cleaner to arrive in 30min and said there was miscommunication with the house keepers. The furniture isn’t practical, uncomfortable and the small balcony has no roof so was unable to enjoy the views when it rained. The WiFi was very poor, the TV didn’t work, the pipes leaked every time the toilet was flushed, the sliding door to the balcony was very stiff, the floorboards were warped in some places and you could hear everything when people walked around. We were provided with black bath towels which left black fluff all over you when used, requiring you to have a second shower to wash it all off and then only a face towel to dry yourself.

The most serene and peaceful views of both Martha Cove and the Ocean. Even the drive down the street exposed a stunning sunset! It was great to have two lounge areas, two bathrooms and the kitchen was spacious.

The floors and couches needed cleaning. The driveway and stairs to the property are very steep, so not suited to people with mobility issues. The bathroom was low on stocked items, which I believe are included in the cost.
