So-J Beach Villa

So-J is perfectly situated, just a two-minute stroll from a wonderful stretch of Uppuveli Beach. This part of the beach strikes a great balance, offering enough restaurants and a diving school for convenience, yet remaining quiet enough for a truly relaxing experience. The accommodation consists of small, very clean villas with excellent air conditioning. The pool is refreshing, and the breakfast is amazing – a fantastic start to each day. Most notably, the staff are incredibly helpful and super friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. So-J is an ideal spot for a peaceful and convenient beach holiday!

Change the bed sheets and towels more often. Rooms and beds could be a bit cleaner.

C’est simple mais tout est fait pour que l’on passe du bon temps ! Le personnel est très attentionné et cherche à nous faire plaisir et nous sentir bien ! Le propriétaire est français et il discute avec les hôtes avec beaucoup de gentillesse et sympathie 😊 Les chambres sont simples mais propres et nous y avons bien dormi ! L’emplacement est idéal à quelques pas d’une plage idyllique (3 minutes maxi), où resto et activités nautiques sont présents ! Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et avec des fruits frais tous les matins ! La piscine nouvellement construite est un grand plus ! C’est agréable d’y faire un saut à tout moment de la journée . Manque un peu d’eau chaude pour les douches …. Mais bon avec la chaleur , on en a pas forcément besoin 🤣

A lovely little villa very close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was nice and the staff were lovely. Special mention for Rajah, who is very helpful and friendly with a good sense of humour. They now have a pool and I was pleased that I was one of the first to try it!.

A fridge and another chair in the room would be nice as suggestions.

All staff were wonderful,location was great- just a few steps from a beautiful beach. Very clean, comfortable house with incredibly comfortable beds! Good aircon:) Tasty breakfast, we stayed 6 nights and breakfast was different every day with a consistently fantastic selection of fresh fruit:) they were busy finishing building the swimming so got a bit noisy at times but the owner offered us a discount and apologised for the noise. Overall, we had a great time and the people made it a really great experience and made us feel really welcome:)

Posizione a pochi metri dalla spiaggia e da alcuni bar e ristorantini. Presenza di zanzariere sui letti (utilissime contro gli insetti). Ventilatori e AC ottimi. Buona colazione.

Wi fi funziona poco. Le grate sulle finestre presentano dei buchi da cui presumibilmente sono entrati alcuni insetti. Per il prezzo non guasterebbe una dotazione di prodotti in bagno.

Le vrai SRI LANKA!! Des plages magnifiques, des restaurants super sympa a tres tres bon prix, Les ballades en scooter, les couchers de soleil, la chaleur de la plage et de l'océan. Le service de l'hotel toujours souriant et vigilant pour répondre a toutes vos demandes; Le responsable qui parle francais et qui vous donne des conseils d'activité ou de lieux. Le petit dejeuner copieux et servi avec le sourire; la qualité de la chambre avec sa climatisation et tout son confort. Le calme et l'environnement de l'hotel. Les temples et monuments magnifiques

L'absence d'un endroit dans la ville pour faire des achats un peu moins "typiques"

Fabulous villa in a perfect location. In a quiet laneway, approximately 3 minutes walk to the best part of Uppaveli Beach. The staff could not have been more helpful. The Manager Raju was brilliant.

Замечательный радушный персонал. Напоили чаем с дороги, учитывали пожелания по завтраку. Завтраки неплохие: омлет, тосты, масло, ждем, фрукты, чай/кофе растворимый. Один раз были блины вместо омлета. Кровати достаточно удобные, санузел раздельный и неплохой. Сам домик вполне приятный. На выходе стол со стульями, сушилка для белья. До чудесного моря и пляжа метров 200. У рыбаков в районе 17 вечера можно купить свежий улов, прямо из сети. До магазина тоже метров 200.

На момент проживания, начало мая 2025, на территории идет стройка. Шума особо нет, но первое, что я увидел при входе, куча щебенки, возводимая коробка нового здания, бетон, арматура. Короче, это портит все впечатление, лично для меня. При этом по самой стройке ты не идешь, но она в 2-х метрах через дорожку. Когда закончат, будет хорошо, но это еще полгода минимум. Простыни для укрывания, из 3-х штук 2 с дырками, но чистые) заявленного места для грилля нет. С учетом всего этого, цена в 60$ кажется высокой.

Tolle Lage, weniger als eine Minute zum Strand! Großes, sauberes Zimmer. Freundliche Gastgeber. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit viel Auswahl.
