1812 Caves 'n Mansion

A beautifully unique and unforgettable experience. Alex and Effie were brilliant hosts who couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable, nothing was too much to ask. Rita kept the accommodation immaculate at all times with a smile. The breakfasts were fantastic with homemade yoghurt and fruit, a selection of bread and croissants and more. Just fantastic. Thank you guys for everything.

The property and our room are absolutely stunning! Our room had everything we needed including fridge, glasses, plates etc.it was such a great respite from the crowds in Fira and the traffic. Alex and his mom were so accommodating and were entirely focused on making their guests feel comfortable and their trip enjoyable. Alex’s mom ( Efi) makes the BEST yogurt we have ever had. Breakfasts were delicious and filling to get us started for our day. The place was spotless outside and inside.

WOW, service and accommodation is one of the best we have ever had whilst travelling around the world. From the moment we arrived (extremely late at night) was welcomed by Alex and made to feel like one of the family. English communication excellent with a high knowledge, nothing was to much trouble. Superior cave suite is an amazing experience and so beautifully done inside. Please see the photos. Then breakfast, this is where you meet Alex mum and feel the true Greek family hospitality experience. Fantastic woman who treat us to delicious home made jams, yoghurt, juice. Perfect 👌. Thank you very much for making our Santorini experience one we will remember forever. Highly recommend 1812 and if you're scrolling trying to find something stop. You won't find better and location is perfectly in the middle to see everything on the island. Even Dubai doughnut 🍩 💗

The property is really authentic, well located in the middle of the island so everything is within reach and the fact that it’s a cave makes it super lovely. In addition to that, Alex and Effie have been amazing hosts, welcoming us, sharing with us the tradition of Santorini and making every step of our stay delightful. The breakfast is yummy. We really loved our stay within their property.

Nothing, our stay has been amazing

Very clean and spacious room. Good location with multiple restaurants nearby (within 5 mins) and a 24h bakery close by. Easy transport links/walk to Fira and airport. Breakfast was delicious and our host Efi very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable and homey. Staff were brilliant!

The facility we stayed in was comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated, the locals were friendly... And what we liked the most was that we were in the center of the island and close to all kinds of sights. Also, kudos to the staff, they were approachable, nice and polite. We already miss our accommodation, we would like to return there soon!

Our stay in this accomodation was amazing. Efi, with her energy, hospitality and caring made our stay special with feeling like home. I would definitely return to this accomodation if coming back to Santorini. We have exchanged 3 different accomodation during our stay and this one was the best. Clean, equiped. We have even received bottle of vine and fresh fruits on the room..every day cleaning with a small sweet surprise on the pillow. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks Efi and Alex 🧡

Problem with low water pressure was resolved with water pump an the pressure is fine now
