Villa Margi

Margi met us at the door to give us the keys. She explained as best she could how things worked and where everything was. The property is fantastic. The view from the terrace is unbeatable. The plunge pool is the perfect size for the terrance. The living room and dining room are both large, clean and beautifully decorated with art, books, antiques and maps. Margi brought us pastries for breakfast the first morning.

The kitchen could have been cleaner and with better cooking utensils. The cooking utensils are old and in disrepair. The hose on the faucet in the kitchen leaks. The only coffee pot we could find was an old stained expresso pot but it was fine for making regular coffee. The bedroom located on the lower floor is very damp and there was some plaster breaking off one of the walls. A dehumidifier would help solve this issue. Towels that were supplied were old, thin and had frayed edges. The towels are to be used for the entire stay soit would be nice to have towels that were more durable.

Villa Margi was an exceptional property to stay in. Plenty of space for 3 families and had everything we needed for our week. We did not get bored of the stunning view from the balcony and the infinity pool was wonderful . Sunsets are incredible from this place. The Location is excellent for touring (Vesuvius, Herculanium, Pompeii, Sorrento, Capril) and Vico Equense is a short bus or drive away and you won’t see many tourist here. We used the butcher, greengrocers and local cafes in Vico and the Conad supermarket had other bits we needed. We used local trains and buses- all reasonably priced and reliable. Margi recommended places to visit and eat. Bikini restaurant was a real treat for a big birthday celebration and Baldeni deli at the bottom of the private drive, has amazing street food/ delicacies to try and then you can walk back up the steep road to Villa Margi! Anyone with mobility issues will need a lift in a car or scooter. Margi is so welcoming and comes up daily from her appartment with local pastries for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa to friends who want to be in a less touristy area with great transportation links.

The villa is beautiful, and the views unbeatable. Margi is lovely, and all her recommendations were spot on. The layout meant that even with 4 rooms being required for our group, we had ample space for being social, but still plenty of privacy for sleeping and bathroom facilities. Forget amalfi itself, the views from the pool at Villa Margi, especially at sunset, are far superior. The pastries you can have Margi deliver to you fresh each morning were a great and considered touch. Can't recommend enough. Wish I could live there permanently.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Margi, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, our host, Margi, was nothing short of exceptional. The villa is absolutely stunning, boasting breathtaking views that truly enhance the experience. Every morning, we were treated to delicious breakfast pastries, and Margi was always available to assist us with anything we needed. My husband rented a car to explore the beautiful Sorrento and Amalfi coast, but for those who prefer not to drive abroad, Margi thoughtfully had alternative travel options clearly displayed in the kitchen. She also took the time to share her insider tips and recommendations for local attractions, which made our stay even more enjoyable. In summary, Villa Margi offers the perfect blend of comfort, location, and hospitality. I would love to return someday, as this place has everything you could wish for: a perfect villa, perfect views, and the most wonderful host! Thank you, Margi, for making our stay so memorable x

Very big villa , a lot rooms, barhrooms. Perfect for girls trip. View from villa is stunning. So much nicer in real life than in photos . City is not so far , after two days you get used to walk. I recommend a lot this villa. Also the host is very sweet, every moorning she brings us buns.

There was some things but is so small that its not important. I liked my stay here.

Stunning views over the bay. Beautiful sunsets every night. Nice well-maintained little pool. Lots of space in villa. Fresh pastries every morning delivered by Margi. Margi gave us lots of tips, recommendations which were very helpful.

Not a negative but you need a car really. Also care is needed driving up to the villa.
