The house is marvellous with an unforgettable view on Naples' bay ! The hostess is very nice and welcoming. She brought us our breakfast fresh from the bakery every morning. The interior is so chic :)

"Villa Margi boasts stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius"

10.0

Villa Margi must have one of the world’s finest views from its two lovely terraces and pool: from here, you can see the whole sweep of the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in all its glory. Watching the sun set over the sea was a truly idyllic experience and we could hardly believe we were there. Inside, the Villa is spacious and stylish, with high ceilings and French windows all around, each one offering another jaw-dropping view. But it also felt like a real home, with a kitchen designed by someone who loves cooking, and art, literature and beautiful things in every room. The suite on a lower level gave our teenage son his privacy and I would say the villa is ideal for a family with teenagers or a group of friends. Margi was a wonderful host, bringing us breakfast on our first day and making sure we knew where all the best swimming spots and restaurants were - grazie mille, Margi!

It would be difficult to stay here without access to a car.

"Thanks Margi, your home and your hospitality made our holiday so memorable and special."

10.0

The hostess Margi is such a wonderful lady. She was very helpful, always on hand if we needed anything, she even gave us a ride to the train station and insisted on picking us up when we arrived back from our trip to Pompeii. We could not thank her enough. The view from the balcony was spectacular and having breakfast in the mornings, looking out at Vesuvius and the bay of Napoli, will be something I will always remember. It is a warm, spacious, period home that has obviously been loved and cherished over the years and this resonates through the property. It is a happy, comfy place to stay and we loved it.

I do not have anything negative to say about the property and hope to stay there again, this time with the rest of my family, it is certainly big enough for several families. I even enjoyed the walk up and down the steep hillside to the bakery in the mornings. Yes, it would have been nice if the pool was bigger but it is fine for children and cooling off on hot days. Also, anything bigger would not be practical and in keeping with the property, which was much more important to us.

"An amazing weeks stay in an extrodenary villa and an amazing hostess. Will be rebooking again next year."

9.0

We loved the decor, initially we were a little worried as the pictures made it look like it had the potential to be run down but it was honestly stunning and the pictures just don’t do it justice. The views were extraordinary. Looking south towards Vico Equency is exactly what you imagine the Italian coast line to look like and then you have a clear view of Vesuvius. The villa is within 40 minutes driving of Naples airport, 10 minutes driving to Vico Equency, 1 hour drive to Sorrento or Positano. 30 minutes walk into Vico Equency.

The kitchen would be the only area that let the villa down. All it needs is a good clean out and upgrade to the cooking area. However, it is usable, clean and plenty of cutlery and plates etc with a fantastic view out towards the sea. We were not comfortable with carrying €1000 as the deposit but we came to a solution and it was all sorted.

The views from the deck and the huge windows inside were absolutely stunning. It would be difficult to find accommodation with these views and with as much space. The interior is larger and more beautiful than the pictures--11-foot high ceilings, spacious living and dining areas, bedrooms well separated and 4 complete bathrooms. Even in mid-October the plants on the patio were flowering beautifully and well-tended. The property is very well maintained and all six of us thoroughly loved our stay at it. Margi was a gracious host and very helpful. The meal that she prepared for us was wonderful. We enjoyed our daily walk into Vico. Our six days at Margi's Villa will be remembered very fondly.

"Spacious villa with stunning views"

9.0

- Absolutely stunning views across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius from the terrace - Very spacious villa with plenty bedrooms and bathrooms. We were a group of 9 at one point, and you could always find a quiet spot in and around the villa - The villa is perched on a 'cliff' overlooking the see. Be aware that the road from the sea to the villa is steep and very twisty! - Numerous places to relax both inside and outside - Decor is unique with many books, photos, paintings, and objects around - Very friendly host who offered us help with anything we asked - More than enough chairs, loungers, stools available - Lovely walk to Vico Equense in about 25mins, but see below - Good deli / bar at the foot of the hill - bread, meat, and pizza were all great

- The kitchen has a huge amount of crockery, cutlery, pots, and utensils. There is nothing missing, but the kitchen area is a bit dated and could do with a refresh. It looks like the 'professional' kitchen from the villa's hotel days. - As per the photos on the website, the pool is small and is only a splash pool, not for swimming - We enjoyed the walk into Vico Equense, but be aware (when we were there in May) the first part is very overgrown. - We found it difficult to get a taxi back to the villa from Vico Equense. It is less than 2 miles (5mins drive), but often taxi drivers would refuse to take us, or ask for €30-40! The cheapest we could get was €20, which is a rip-off. We learned that the best way to get a taxi was to ask the restaurant to arrange one. That worked well.
