The Edgware Cabana

Fabulous experience, definitely somewhere to stay for a romantic getaway. Excellent butler service to our own private dining room which we didn't expect. Staff wonderful. Great TV with sooo many channels, good for international travelers. Comfortable lounge and nice and warm. (cold and wet when we were there). Didn't need to go out of our suite, shame it was only a one night stay.

Lighting in the bedroom hadn't been thought through. Only one central ceiling light, that had to be switched off at the wall. So you fumbled in the dark getting into bed. No side lights, so using the bathroom in the night was difficult. General maintenance of repairs hadn't been kept up, some curtain tie backs broken, light in sink mirror not working, taps wobbling, cracked tiles around the bath etc. Nothing to put us off, but makes the place look a little tired in the light of day.

This was our favourite hotel across Sri Lanka. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is positive and enjoyable. The Cabana was so nice and private with a very comfortable and relaxing vibe. Would 100% reccomend to anyone.

There were no switches or electrical outlets next to the bed.
