I had a wonderful time staying at El Hornillo. I spent a week hiking and enjoying a breathtaking views and my stay at El Hornillo just complimented all so perfectly. El Hornillo is full of character, it reflects the spirit of Vallerhemoso but also care and style. Gloria is just the most wonderful host, warm, welcoming, kind and helpful. Meeting her just set the tone and confirms that you are in the right place. I am planning to definitely visit again. Just loved it. Thank you.

Character

We really enjoyed staying at Casa rural El Hornillo. The apartment felt authentic and still had many of the original features of an old Spanish building of a bygone age - all very memorable. It was well equipped, spacious and very well presented. We especially enjoyed opening the large windows in the morning to take in the fine views of palm trees, the rooftops of the old town of Vallehermoso and the impressive rocky landscape. The location of apartment is within easy reach of the shops, supermarket and bus stop, and also at the starting point of many walks. We must add our thanks to the housekeeper Gloria who was very helpful and welcoming.

We were disppointed to find that the garden terrace was not always available bacause it was shared by an adjoining appartment. We found that the lighting in the kitchen area is rather low at night which made food preparation difficult.

Charming and authentic style apartment near main town square of Vallehermoso. Close to restaurants and shops.

Beautiful old house just off the main square in Vallehermoso, so very convenient location.

Kitchen could be improved with a few sharp knives and better lighting.
