Ambong Pool Villas - Private Pool

We were given a welcome drink and our bags were taken up to our villa in a buggy as it is very steep. We were then given a lift up the hill too.

We liked the views, the privacy, the pool. The staff were amazing. We wanted to stay longer.

The staff were really the best, friendly, helpful welcoming and genuinely nice.

Location was amazing . Very tranquil and relaxing . View from our villa was incredible. Private pool was great , nice size and clean . A few monkeys paid us a visit every day, they were friendly and it was really nice watching them up close . The staff were extremely polite and helpful without exception. The airport transfers both ways were good . Good clean car with friendly driver . Check in and check out was handled efficiently. The air con in the villa was quiet but very effective. Bed was very comfy . We slept very very well every night of our stay . Shower was spacious and with a good water pressure . Toiletries supplied were of a good standard.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay we think the villas are very overpriced. We paid 14000 maylasian ringlets for 6 nights . I think 10000 would be nearer to what the villas were worth . The furniture in the outside area is dated and cheap looking . The sun loungers in particular were disappointing. No mattresses on them . Just cheap loungers . The villa itself would also benefit from a little updating . The towels supplied for both the loungers and the bathroom were old and worn . For the price paid I expected high quality fluffy towels . On some days the towels were a little grey looking .

Location, the pool, the rooftop restaurant, super nice staff and waking up to see the sunrise over the sea / mountains from my bed... everything about our stay was perfect and would have loved to not leave them a review and keep this place a secret!

This really is a stunning hotel in a quiet area of Langkawi. The rooms are really big with great facilities and comfy bed. The pool is a good size and ours overlooked the bay (you can choose your villa on Booking.com if you google the map of the resort). The staff were super friendly and frequently drove us across to their other resort (only a 10-15 minute walk, but it was raining a few times when we needed to go over there). We are both vegan and so went over there for all of our food which was delicious. We also had a couples afternoon at the spa, which we would highly recommend. We managed to see a Giant Black Squirrel, Long-Tailed Macaques and Dusky Leaf Monkeys from our room / pool area.

There's not a lot to dislike about this place. As others have said, it's quite a steep walk up and down to the villas at the top, but the staff are happy to drive you up and down if you have mobility difficulties.

Overall i love.. the room super comfy and clean.. all the staff so friendly,nicely.. the hospitality superb! Thank to en.shahriman for hosting and guide we even just one night.. 👍🏻👍🏻keep it up guys
