Flexible checkin and checkout. Beautiful garden. Good location to use as a base for a safari ride to Yala National Park.

Bungalows aren’t particularly cosy and, even worse, clean. When I arrived , my bed linen looked as if it had been used by someone else and then given to me. We were provided with a takeaway breakfast to take to Yala National Park, and the food turned out mediocre.

The accommodation is wonderful and the location perfect, tucked away from busy roads. The room is big and the bathroom even bigger, the beds are super-comfortable, the pool is clean, with pool towels provided, and a lovely covered terrace out front where you can sit and read in the evening - the staff put coils out for the mosquitoes. There is wildlife right on your doorstep - a troupe of langurs right behind my room and beautiful birds in the garden. The staff were also great about arranging an early morning trip to Bundala National Park for me, with a knowledgable guide and for a reasonable price. Oh, and great home-made jam for breakfast :)

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. However, I preferred the food at the sister property in Bentota, hence I've given a 9 rather than a 10.

Beautiful place, only 4 villas sharing a pool in nature. Our villa was so clean really big decorated with style, the outdoor bathroom alone was 30sqm and so zen. Really the photos dont do this place justice. The staff is also so nice whatever you ask no problem they are so lovely.

We only stayed one night but the food was not the best, its ok but everywhere else in srilanka the food was much better so for longer stay that may be an issue.

Excellent, family-run resort with just 4 bungalows in a beautiful garden with a superb swimming pool & solarium area. The bungalow is lovely & spacious with a large bedroom, a huge bathroom and a lovely patio overlooking the pool for you to relax on. The bed was big and super comfy. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. The AC was effective and the WiFi worked well for us. The breakfasts were very tasty and we ate there twice in the evening, both times enjoying some excellent home cooked food. We really loved the quiet out of town location, but a tuk tuk into Tissa' takes less that 10 minutes. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and always with a smile on their faces, especially Niranji and Kumarra. They were also able to arrange a safari to Yala at a reasonable price - we had a great driver and the whole 6 seat jeep to ourselves. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and we would certainly recommend staying here.

Just a minor observation on the description of the property. The room that we were initially allocated did not have a fridge (the other 3 did) and whilst we were offered to make use of their kitchen fridges, we decided to move into one of the other 3 bungalows overlooking the pool instead.

Would like a duvet / comforter for bed. Sheet was too light.

Really beautiful stay in very nice garden. Perfect swimming pool, comfortable large rooms with the bigest bathroom I have ever seen. Amazing breakfests.

Our friends had cockroaches in their bathroom. Prices of menu were the highest I have seen in Srí Lanka.

Very calm, family run retreat which is a perfect starting point for a Yala Safari What we liked: - Very welcoming and friendly family that owns and runs the place. - Fantastic home-cooked Sri-Lankan food (In our opinion the best Sri Lankan Curry we had). - Quiet and relaxing garden with pool. - Bungalows have lots of space inside (not really needed, but still nice)

What to be mindful of: - It is quiet and peaceful and therefore there are not many other restaurants nearby. We loved the food at the venue, so no problem for us, but if you are looking for dinner choices nearby, there are not many. - As with quite some other places in Sri Lanka: Payment only in Cash, so make sure to have enough available on checkout
