Tosca - Charming double room at ranch "De Blauwe Zaal"

Absolutely awful. Where to start? My daughter (12) and I arrived late in the evening and went out for dinner. We got back around 23.30 to find loud music coming from the bar next to the room. Thinking it wouldnt go on too late or be turned down at a certain time, we went to bed. Around 00.30 the music was turned UP, complete with drunk patrons screaming and shouting at the top of their lungs. By 01.30, it was clear we were going to get no sleep, and i was forced to locate and book alternative accomodation. From the advert, the room looks like it is in a nice and peaceful location, it is anything but peaceful. On top of this, the room is just that, a tiny box with a bed in it and nothing else. Nowhere to put clothes or cases apart from on the floor, which then blocks the walkways. There were marks on the walls, and either the rooms arent cleaned properly or there is a spider infestation as i had to eject 3 of them at my daughters request in the 2 hours we spent there. After being bombarded with text messages, emails and whatsapp messages from the huswell company who appear to manage the room before we arrived, after complaininh directly on the friday night when we left and again through booking.com the following day, i have had no response from the host. Be interesting to see if they follow up this review as they have others! All in all, do not book this place. The noise is unbearable, and if staying for more then a night you will be uncomfortable with no where to put anything. We ended up in a beautiful hotel in the center of bruges for not much more then i originally paid for this disaster.

The location.

The room. Very small, no wardrobe, bathroom door not open fully and difficult to enter and exit the bathroom.

We liked the ambience of the place. Located in a calm and quite environment.

We lost our belongings. We kept our food for the 4 day stay in the refrigerator. However, on our 2nd day all our food items were missing. We then reached customer service and they mentioned they are looking into this matter. However, there was no positive response. We are extremely disappointed with the customer service and there is no one to take responsibility on the premises.

The whole property was very charming and quiet. An ideal location, a very short trip to the city center of Bruges.

Great location on the Euro Velo 4 North sea route. We liked the quiet country location yet only 2 miles from the center of Bruges. The facilities were excellent and with the bonus of a full oven we could prepare our favoured meals. There is a great little bar on-site and a winery. If you love horses you will love this place.

Shame the bar doesn't serve food, although a restaurant is being built possibly for next season.
