Glyndley Manor Cottages

The swimming pool was delightful.

Quiet location. nice disabled bedroom and bathroom and all beds were really comfortable and clean. Enjoyed using the outdoor pool. Staff were really lovely and helpful.

The slope to the cottage was too steep for us to manage with the mum in her wheelchair and the other path to the other car park was too bumpy for her. We managed it using the electric scooter in the end so pleased we brought that with us but it just made it a little more awkward . Suggest you check which cottage if going in a wheelchair as there were many others that would have been easier for a wheelchair user

Nice peaceful, quiet location. Good location for days out. Good supermarkets in Halisham. Great garden centre with cafe and good food at the end of the lane. Staff friendly. Cottage had excellent kitchen facilities and bathroom had nice hot shower.

Bed was very soft, we're both 70 and didn't sleep well on it. Ended up with backache. I stripped it before we left and found what looked like a mattress topper, not a mattress. Armchair and dining chairs were not very comfortable either, but we were out most of the day. There was no guide on how to get channels on TV. We had no idea we had garden furniture, which was stacked up behind the cottage. We only found it on a walk around the day before we left. Shame, because we prefer to sit outside if the weather is good.

There are a few dated bits like rusty radiators and a later check out time would be better

Great location just outside eastbourne that was a very easy small drive away, picturesque and peaceful grounds and a nice base to retreat back to, staff were great too. Cosy little place with everything you need supplied, great little pool and down the road a gigantic garden centre.

Despite the idealic settings it does come with drawbacks but not a deal breaker, the WiFi signal is extremely poor, we stayed in no.3 and could get a signal just about but ended up tethering our phones with 1 bar but the in-laws were in no.13 and the signal was pretty much non existent 90% of the time.

It was quiet, clean, very comfortable bed, kind and cheerful host.

I did not use the internet, used my own mobile data occasionally.
