A characterful cottage in a beautiful setting in a lovely countryside location. The cottage was immaculate, the staff friendly. It was quiet and civilised. It could hardly be improved on.

Clean ,comfortable lovey setting and very well provided with all your needs ,couldn't fault it in any way ,I will always stay in one of your cottages whenever I visit Eastbourne ,highly recommend .

"Nice base of operations for East Sussex - so long as you have a car"

It's a lovely setting - one of a number of holiday homes in the grounds of a small manor house. There are some beautiful gardens and landscaping around it. It's a reasonably easy drive into Eastbourne from there, and it is reasonably well positioned for a number of sights in the area (miniature railway, Drusilla's, etc). There are several pubs for food and shops within a few minutes drive - as well as a garden centre with retail outlets.

There is no realistic alternative to having a car there - there is a bus, but it stops about 15 mins walk from the cottages. The location is slightly harder to get to than it originally appears due to nearby dual carriageways.

"very good, everything we needed was there"

rooms very good size, kitchen well stocked with utensils. was clean and tidy, but would pay more if it was updated. but no complaints at all. great place to stay

still looks like it was decorated in the 80’s
