Avonlea Forest Hill Cottages

Very nice cottage type accommodations. Contact free access. Fully appointed kitchen. We slept in the king bed in the loft - super comfortable.

Comfortable, relatively new cottage. Very clean on the inside, deck area needed some attention with weeds poking up through the boards. Also kitchen needed a new sponge.

We loved everything about our stay!

This was a very pleasant stay. We visited the area in late September so definitely in the shoulder season. Many of the businesses around were closed for the season so we did have to drive a bit to find restaurants and groceries, but that wasn’t an issue really. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There were extra blankets for the cooler nights. There are only two things I could mention but they aren’t complaints. Merely things that gave us a bit of trouble. There are not ceiling lights so the receptacles work with a light switch. We had to figure that out when our chargers wouldn’t work. 😊. The other is that there could be more light. We started packing up the night before departure and it was just too dark in the upstairs bedroom to do that. The trip was my sister and I and we both agreed it was a lovely place and we would gladly stay again if in the area.

Great place to stay

Great location for Anne sights. A really cute converted carriage house nestled in the trees. Nice amount of space. Fully equipped modern kitchen with dish washer. Laundry facilities on site. The property is just three houses, not a large amount of cabins, which is a plus. Would stay here again.

No negatives

We loved that it was charming, clean, updated. Abundance of towels etc.
