Kazbegi cabins

Great view, amazing restaurant with great staff next door and a perfect starting spot for a hike. Beds were cozy and everything was clean.

Would recommend a sleeping mask as it gets very bright and some ear plugs as you might hear your neighbours

Nicely built and decorated, cosy cottage. Fabulous location and scenery. Classy restaurant next door.

It is very comfortable for two persons but for a family of 4 the bunker bed upstairs had no ventillation and was very hot at least in early August when we were there.

The cabin is tastefully furnished and spacious. Right beside a lovely restaurant, Maisie. It has bowls, spoons, fridge, etc. Fabulous view of the mountains.

It wasn't cheap. No breakfast offering or discount in the restaurant for guests. No air conditioning, which is fine,but only one window in the bedroom that can only be opened fully during the night. The curtains did not block out the light much. The bedroom in the attic would be unbearably hot because there is no window to open.

The views are the selling point here. Amazing views of the mountains (unless it's cloudy - but even then...) out the front window, and you can see the Gergeti Church and sometimes Mount Kazbek out the bedroom window. Those are the views we came for! It was a comfy cabin with a good amount of space and the staff was friendly. We didn't eat at Maisi but have heard good things. Did I mention the views?

The main complaint is that there is very little privacy if you have the left side of the cabin. The restaurant is very close, and while the music they played was pleasant to hear, we also got some smoke in through our windows from smokers - and the bedroom window wouldn't stay open (particularly with having the top/slant open, rather than open by swinging out). We even had a restaurant customer try to get in thinking it was the restroom! The door is a little tricky to get locked/unlocked with the key - you just have to pull a bit to get it to line up right. Also, note that this is quite a bit uphill from town - so get a ride if you don't have a car!

This place was amazing!!! I was so impressed by it. It’s a cabin, so it does have rustic elements. But I really loved the thoughtful interior design elements. The bed was one of the comfiest I experienced during my trip through guesthouses in Georgia. And most amazing of all, the window, the view. I just loved sitting in front of the window with that view. This was hands down my top favorite of all my stays in Georgia during my three week trip. I sampled the cafe’s breakfast too, it was so good. Also. Any walk into the central part of town requires a steep walk back.

A quirk about the place is that there is a cafe next door, so there’s a variety of people that walk by the window. Also, there was a rainstorm one night and the area lost water. So there was no running water in cabin for the last day I was there and the nearby cafe had to shut down operations due to no running water. Despite that, I still would recommend this to my friends.
