Woodlands of Balingup Bush Cottages -Flora & Fauna focused

Location. Bed linen and towels were clean.

Cleanliness; of property overall and of kitchen utensils and equipment. Air con only in main room with no air flow through the remainder of the house. No working washing machine.

Lovely older house. Well equipped. Beautiful location with incredible bush reserve just across the road. Close to get to nearest town but quiet, peaceful location with lots of birds. Host was very helpful and interesting. We all liked swimming in the dam.

Some of the doors in the house, between rooms, didn’t close properly which made sharing the house a little tricky in terms of noise. One night someone in the adjoining house was a bit noisy but this didn’t go on too late.

Love the balcony overlooking the property, it has everything you could need and is super clean with great quality linen. Lovely property, hospitable host, can't fault. Our second time there and will definitely be back.

So peaceful just the downtime we needed

The property is a bush property. Off the main road with little to no traffic. The road is sealed to the accomodation. It is located less than 3 kms from the main town for those who need their coffee. However, there was coffee and plunger provided. There was a vase of fresh cut roses and a bowl of citrus to greet us. The owner popped over after we had been there around 1/2 hour to see that we had everything and was there anything else he could do for us. He also gave a great run down on the property (and his) history. The linen and towels were all Sheridan, the blankets were wool, mattresses incredibly comfortable. We have just been in the USA for 7 weeks. This was a better sleep than anything I had there.

The water pump runs (cutting in and out) continually. One of the nights I heard it while awake, but not the other two nights. It is only because it is so quiet. Wouldn't hear it in the city or if you don't have problems sleeping. The other people had no problems, they didn't hear it and they slept fine. I'm a pretty light sleeper - I didn't bring ear plugs to sleep and I had a lot churning over mentally and it's more of a reflection on me than the cottage. But it is the truth none the less. There wasn't any thing else not to like to fill in this box.

Great location. Cottage was very clean. Nice big bathroom and large shower with good hot water. Comfy sofas. Verandah great for bird watching.

Kitchen was a bit tired and had to wash crockery etc before use. Other guests probably didn't bother washing them properly. Mattress was very firm.

Location is great . We loved our stay and will be back soon

Great location, nice and quiet!!! The cottage had everything you needed. The electric blankets are a great addition especially in the cooler months. We had a pleasant stay.

Nothing, a bit too rustic for our liking and quite cold (especially in the bathroom), took a while to get to sleep the 1st night as not used to all the animals noises at night time
