Hideaway - A Couples Retreat

Position - it was quiet and private. Facilities were good. Tracey was a real star in sorting out our possession left behind.

Previous tenants had obviously used the fireplace (naturally😁) but there was a very strong smell of smoke. We aired it for a few days until it improved. Minor detail that you might like to consider - sharp corner to the bed! Ouch, walking past a few times.

A cosy, secluded cottage in a lovely green setting. Loved the easy walk into the village and the option for an open fire.

I liked the fire, the little garden and front porch. The bed was nicely made and overall it was tidy. The property overall was lovely, it was a pleasant surprise.

The proch needed a wash down, as well as the porch roof, getting rid of cobwebs. The clock battery on the wall was dead. Plastic plant dusty as well as cups and wine glasses. A couple of extra towels would have been great. A welcome card or note would have been a nice touch.

Fantastic, secluded location. A wonderful way to escape and find your own space to recharge :)

Seclusion, privacy, simple cooking facilities, dishwasher, bush setting, beautiful gardens and plenty of bird song.

Being explicitly told dishes must be done on departure. For five nights no one changed the towels or sheets. Not that I expected daily servicing. But for less I could have stayed in a hotel and had daily servicing and not had to worry about my dishes. We missed a bit of a view. No information about walking tracking to town. Sign was broken. Bed was so soft every time my husband moved I was woken.

BTW. Need new batteries in tv remote.

Location was tranquil although very isolated dark with no security light. Too scary to venture out at night.

Duvet needed cleaning as we were itchy.
