Great location surrounded by wilderness. The birds were amazing. The location was so quiet and secluded and peaceful. A truly beautiful retreat.

Handy to village, dishwasher,

No handwash in bathroom, we expected plunger coffee the very basic instant coffee was very disappointing and did not reflect the standard and image profiled to us. You could say it's only coffee but small things matter.

Quiet! Lovely birdsong!

The bed was hollow… think it needs replacing! Had no morning or evening sun !

"Blissful few days in one of the most scenic places in NZ, close to great walks and town."

Location was perfect - secluded in the bush but only a (lovely) 15min walk into town, and at the head of some great walking trails.

The shower was v weak. Nowhere to hang clothes. Laundry not working. BBQ not working (but owners v responsive in sending someone round to help). Bed way too soft for us (we kept rolling into the middle!). We'd still highly recommend though.

Beautiful location, good nature walk nearby and a path that leads to town

The cicadas were very loud but they were everywhere, not just at the cottage so can't really complain but they are definitely loud when you are outside but cottage has good soundproofing so quiet inside.
