Oamaru Harbour Nest

We absolutely loved the view and having bubbly , snacks and breakfast on the deck. The host Heather was so lovely and very accommodating. Bed was comfy, shower was great. The location was perfect being close to the old precinct and the harbour. We absolutely loved our stay.

Can't think of any thing we didn't like.

What a pleasant surprise to see this cosy little unit at the back of the main house. Very modern place which had been decorated very well. We had the pleasant surprise of having a lovely view of the harbour from our balcony which was a great asset for a property placed up on a hill. We were very happy to have stayed here and hoped to return in the not too distant future. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the penguin colony, late in the evening, and saw nearly two hundred of these beautiful creatures return home from the sea.

We absolutely loved this place. If i had to give any comment, I would say for travellers who like big airy rooms in large surrounds maybe this is not for you.

Fabulous, quiet location - a small but well equipped apartment, tucked into a secluded back section, perfect for a couple for a short stay - yet just a short downhill walk to the historic wharf-area town centre and likewise to the penguin colony. Lovely view out to sea, yet blissfully private.

Tiny but well equipped kitchen - not suited to full-on cooking but fine for snacks, salad, nibbles and drinks. An extra table surface for those would have been welcome, but it was fine.

A lovely, cosy, very comfortable spot for an overnight stay. Views were amazing and we enjoyed the proximity to the harbour. Host was very helpful and responsive.

It is a lovely cosy and comfortable wee place...ultra clean. I loved the chocolates and wee bottle of bubbles in the fridge (even though I didn't drink the wine).The sea view is wonderful. An easy walking distance from the old part of town.

I found it a little challenging to access the property as I am still recovering from knee replacement surgery and the driveway is quite steep....however, I was kind of expecting that given Oamaru is a hilly town.
