Oamaru Harbour Nest

Loved our stay here, was really impressed with Heather our host. She sent us a lovely message after booking introducing herself, we arrived and the heater was on (very cold day), a lovely welcome note, a nice bottle of bubbles and a few chocolates. She has really thought out the small details. The cottage was lovely, very clean, had everything you needed for a great night in on a cold evening. Will definitely be rebooking next time we visit the South Island.

Nice touches from the host a hand written welcome note, couple of little chocolates, premium coffee satchels and heater was on to warm the roo before I arrived.

Comfortable warm space. Easy check in and check out.

Great location with good views. Small bottle of bubbles was a nice touch. Good hot water pressure.

Not well insulated for winter. Access, in the dark in particular, is not easy for anyone with impaired mobility. Mattress wasn't comfortable. Soap dispenser in the shower didn't work well.

Very comfy bed, great shower, lovely view

A very comfortable unit with wonderful views. The compact kitchen had everything we needed the shower was great and the bed very comfortable. The unit was extremely clean and sunny. There was a small sheltered deck area with great views. The unit was a short walk to the old area of Oamaru so very convenient to bars and cafes etc. Communication with the owner was excellent and although we only stayed overnight on the way to Dunedin,we had a lovely time. The complimentary wine and chocolates were a surprise and much appreciated Would recommend without hesitation.

There was nothing we didn't like

The view over ocean and heritage precinct, proximity to precinct, clean comfortable and homely

Steep access could be difficult for some but we managed it!
