Tshikwalo Game Lodge

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. Staff are really friendly and helpful and we had a great time. The facilities are all well maintained and the bush is beatiful.

The location was excellent as so close to Pretoria (this was a last minute escape). The chalet we had was on the upper storey and the view was tremendous looking out on the bush for miles. Watching a weaver bird build a nest from the restaurant a particular highlight. Johannes our guide was excellent and informative and tried very hard to spot any of the big 5 for us(we saw 6 Rhino) The restaurant has a range of well priced food and drinks. The dip pool outside each group of accommodation was perfect for cooling off. As a hint of what a safari could be this was an excellent taster we will be back.

The restaurant staff need a little more help with direction and training as enthusiasm can only go so far. We would have liked the breakfast to start before 8am but these are both minor issues.

The location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant menu was good and the service staff were attentive. Would recommend this lodge to friends.
