I loved everything about my stay. Lucia and her husband are the sweetest people ever with the biggest hearts. Lucia shared a wealth of information regarding the island, the history, and the wonderful shops and restaurants in town. I had eggs from their chickens, the best honey ever from their bees, fresh bread daily, various fruits from their garden, and so much more. The house is so beautiful, comfy, and cozy.. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hike and explore the countryside as I planned because of the extensive rain, so I was so glad I was in a place I truly enjoyed being. I wish I had booked more days there but will definitely return.

Everything :) We had an amazing experience at the chalet, just a 20-minute walk from the airport. Lucia, our host, made our stay truly special. She welcomed us with homemade cakes – Christmas cake, Carnaval cake – and provided everything we needed, from coffee and tea to eggs and honey. The 3-room chalet was perfect and very cosy. Highly recommend! 🌟

Great little house that has everything you need. The host is very kind and offers bread, pastries and eggs for breakfast. Very close to the airport.

Lucia and Tony are super hosts for this lovely cottage surrounded by comfortable patios and gardens of beautiful flowering plants and trees. The property is minutes away from the center of town, ferry, nature sites and the market. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay inviting and comfortable with treats of fresh bread, fruit, honey from their bees and local wine. This lovely couple was especially helpful when I became injured during our vacation and needed help and support. Quinta de Maria is a great home away from home and we will remember Lucia and Tony on our next trip to the Islands. Muito obrigada pela sua gentileza!

Our stay at Lucia's place was truly nice. She is an adorable host, ensuring our comfort with thoughtful touches. The house and the garden are simply beautiful, creating a serene ambiance. Breakfast offered was very rich, and the complimentary food was a pleasant surprise. The well-equipped kitchen was a great convenience. The location was excellent, close to the airport and all the main attractions on the island.

The bathroom is a bit dated. And it was a bit noisy in the morning due to passing cars on the road close to the house. Despite these small details, our overall stay was great!
