"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!"

1.0

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The location within the park is a couple of minutes walk to park facilities.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This holiday let needs to be taken down until it has been thoroughly deep cleaned and facilities have been safely inspected. From the safety side of it there is an electrical wire hanging over the shower and the fencing outside the chalet is broken (this is over a cliff leading into the fast flowing river) not ideal when you're with your young children. The cleanliness side of it, the first initial incident was finding poo in the shower tray. From then on it got worse we found mould on curtains, on the floor of one of the rooms, the cupboards also stank of mould. Dirty draws, I even found mould and a Dorito down the side of the bunk bed were my children were staying. There were holes and stains on walls. The main room was literally just a bed in the room nothing else. Furniture was ripped, broken heaters and the cutlery was sticky and shoved in a cupboard. The living room didn't have any proper curtains just net curtains so when dark everyone can see in, so no privacy at all. I slept for 2 hours on the first night and the next morning we paid and booked somewhere else to stay as we couldn't stay there any longer. We didn't even unpack we felt that uncomfortable and dirty. We are currently pushing for a refund as we cannot believe someone could charge a family £1000 to stay in this hole for a week. I could honestly keep going on and on about it but the photos will speak volumes. Booking.com will be getting another phone call tomorrow to pursue the ongoing complaint as we are now back from our holiday and have had no follow up communication from them or the owner. This will go further to the ombudsman if needed. Just realised I can only upload 4 pictures but more can be requested.

"Not very good stay"

3.0

The scenery was beautiful

The accomodation was filled with spiders and spiders webs. I understand the location plays a big part, but I believe before guests stay, webs can be cleaned. There were webs where the pots and pans are, pots, pans and plates were not clean. There was no cleaning products to clean the dishes with. Oven was not clean at all. Oven dishes was really dirty. They didn't have proper pots and colanders for cooking. It's quite obvious, if someone booked out a place with a kitchen, cooking and heating food would be done. The bedding was bubbly and I feel like there was bed bugs. We all were very itchy as soon as we went bed. The mattress needs changing as it is SO BAD. We left with back pain. Overall, we was not satisfied with our stay. Also, they state there is WiFi, however there was none. When we tried communicating with the owner, they did not respond back. Going with children, WiFi is very important and although they state they have it, they actually don't and they don't respond back. The living room area was nice to look at, so was the bathroom, however the stay was not great.

Location is really good, the house was clean and it did the job - being able to visit the area for a couple of nights. Probably wouldn't choose it for a longer stay.

The property could do with a bit of a renovation: some windows got stuck, there were sockets - including the one for the heater - which didn't work, the bathroom door didn't lock, wifi didn't work... simple things like spending a bit of money in a decent matress would make the stay much better

First of all, I’d like to mention that our primary goal was to find a place to sleep, so I’m not going to comment on the location or the park itself. This property was booked by my 15-year-old son as we were planning some activities in Snowdonia National Park, which is about an hour away. Coming back to the property: since it was New Year 2025, the weather was very cold, and unfortunately, the heating in this property was virtually nonexistent. There was a small wall-mounted electric blower heater that only worked intermittently (perhaps set on a timer). It was completely insufficient to warm up the living room. We ended up sitting there watching TV with our jackets and shoes on because it was so cold inside. As for comfort, the pillows and mattress were incredibly uncomfortable. The pillows were very flat, and provided no head support at all. The mattress felt like sleeping on a bed of springs, and the double bed was a very small one, possibly from Ikea, and not suitable for two adults. For two nights, with just a bit more money, we could have stayed in a mainstream hotel chain where at least we would have had a warm room and a good night’s sleep.

The only thing to like was the view from the decking.

Where to start. We are a family of 5 with 3 children. So we arrive at the property and we walk in. We have a look around and we find 3 heaters in total for the property. 1 very small heater and 1 medium size and a small electric fire. We had the heaters on from 2pm in the afternoon and when we went to bed at around 11 the property was still cold. We could only close the bathroom window from the outside as I would have snapped the handle off from the inside if I pulled any harder, there was no heating source in the bathroom and it was freezing cold in there and also the door didn't shut as it had no locking mechanism with the handle. The floor to ceiling windows in the property was only covered by nets, no curtains so there was what felt like zero privacy. We ate in the property and when we tried to clean the dishes we had no hot water to clean the dishes. No big deal we will just boil the kettle a few times. The weather turned wet and cold and windy, no problem we will chill out in the property and play some games, my son starts to have a shower and we get a power cut, at this point we have no heating no lights nothing at all. I reach out to the property owner and got no reply for 1 hour 30 minutes, tried to get this resolved through the holiday park and they were able to help after informing us that all the issues we are having could have been prevented by the vendor proving us this vital information. We was informed that if you have to many thing running at once it shorts the electric box and the owners should have informed us about this which they didn't. Also the electric is on a payment meter what need topping up which they forgot to mention. Once we had power restored we then noticed a pool of water all along the back edge of the living room running under the couch. The double bed me and my wife stayed in was tiny, we are not big people, but it was cramped and uncomfortable. My son hardly slept in his bed due to being uncomfortable.
