The breakfast was fine and the location was excellent with views to die for. The owners were amazing and extremely helpful.

I am not in a position to comment as we did not have the breakfast on either day as we went into Havelock North and had breakfast.

There were no smoke Alarms in the Apartments. If a small fire started somehow (ie electrical fault) then you would probably be affixiated by smoke. I think Smoke Alarms are a must because there is only one way in and one way out, also the cost of Smoke Alarms is very minor.

It was Ok

If you want solitude, peace and beautiful nature around you, this is wonderful accommodation. We were the only people staying there and it is very remote from anyone else. The keys were left in the door and I did not meet the owners at all. Simple breakfast items are left in a communal kitchen which is very well equipped for self catering. Its rather a trek to eat out- we found that Hastings, even all day and evening on a Saturday was closed everywhere and Havelock North offered far more amenities and choice for food but both are quite a drive through the countryside. There is a lovely pool available to use. Our room was exceedingly quiet, and very well equipped and comfortable. We managed to arrange a pick up for a local winery tour which was brilliant. Internet worked very well despite rurality.

We travelled as a group of 6 (3 couples) for a wedding in the Hawkes bay. The accommodation was ideal as we each had our own space with a communal kitchen/dinning area to get together as a group and enjoy the sunsets. The property is beautiful and the accomodation was very nice and very clean. We made good use of the pool and really got to relax during our stay. It will be our go to next time.
