Sondela Nature Reserve & Spa Chalets

The location was nice and peaceful. The chalet was quite new and had everything we needed.

There were no proper numbers for the Tamboti chalets, only white board in plastic folders, we drove around abit and after lifting one of the boards that had come loose we found our way: proper signage is required for the chalets.

I received a message that there was a throw blanket missing when the 2nd room only had blankets. Lucky my mother took photos of the room showing that there was no throw blanket in that room. They were ready to charge me for it

I liked the natural environment and fresh air

The road signs were not adequately marked it was very confusing at intersections and crossroads. It rained a lot causing the roads to be extremely risky to drive on and we were forced to come to reception to cancel our activities which we could not do in the rain- there was no consideration for that. I suggest a whatsap call or message via WhatsApp should have sufficed. I was charged more than quoted by bookings.com with no explanation

They had great activities and at affordable prices. I like that we could interact with the animals.

We had an open room which was a shock to us since it wasn’t communicated during booking , the fridge was not working so some of our food got spoiled, they didn’t have enough plates for the 6 of us. They don’t have wifi. We didn’t have a mop in our chalet. You have pay extra for the AC .

There are really lots of activities and things to do. Kids are very happy as they really cater for all children. There are really a choice between swimming pools.

The place is in serious need of maintenance, and it is not really clean. The food is also reasonable, but they can improve a lot. We could only book in at 15h00 and all other places allow people to book in at 14h00.
