Beech, Country Chalet In Pegsdon

Clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Little fridge and microwave.

It’s not really a chalet, it’s rather a room in a converted barn. Good value for money though.

Location was good. Restaurant staff were very attentive.

The room wasn’t clean and some of the fixtures were broken.

Cosy little lodges with comfy bed small bathroom with shower.

Next door to a pub that partied until early hours followed by screaming woman leaving venue at 3am this then gardener at 9 am Sunday morning with a hedge cutter

We slept! It was close to where we needed to go.

Shocking visit. We received so many messages and txt's not to turn up before check-in at 2 pm and when we did arrive at 3.30pm the room had not been cleaned as the company cleaner had not turned up. We walked past the door and looked in the window to see it had clearly not been cleaned. The bar staff were cleaning the rooms and it took 15 minutes to finally get them to get us into a room that had apparently been cleaned. THIS WAS NOT THEIR FAULT. It was the fault of Eco lets. Very unprofessional from Eco lets. The room was in a shocking state; hairs on the pillowcases, hairs on the bedsheets so, we slept on top of the covers, 1 cereal bowl for 2 people?, dirty cups, nail clippings and dirt on the floor of the wardrobe and please do not even ask me what we found in the toilet brush and holder! We do not blame The View Staff, they are not cleaners. Eco lets could have messaged us to let us know but, they did not. After the 15+ letting agreement messages, email verifications, check-in and check out emails, so excited to see you messages, they could have called to let us know this would happen but, nothing!!! We only decided to stay because there was no other accomodation available in the area for our son's graduation ball and we had to get ready and leave for 5pm to get to the venue on time. I imagine Eco lets will reply with some excuse but, for those seasoned travellers who have left poor reviews, they will know to avoid this place at all costs no matter what the excuse
