Die Lage ist phantastisch und die Chalets sind mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Auf Wunsch gibt es Frühstück, und man kann direkt Ausflüge buchen lassen.

We loved the calm vibe at this lovely spot with a gorgeous view, right next to the national park and the Aquataxi base. Chris and Jared run a wonderfully welcoming and relaxing place.

Ocean View Chalets exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Set in a beautiful bush location, it feels wonderfully peaceful and private, yet perfectly placed for exploring everything the Abel Tasman area has to offer. The chalets are spotless, comfortable, and very well equipped, with excellent facilities throughout. A real highlight was the daily housekeeping – something we weren’t expecting – along with generous supplies of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and even fresh milk, which has been surprisingly rare elsewhere in New Zealand. The staff are exceptional: friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. Reception also has thoughtful extras like a DVD and lending library, which really adds to the relaxed, home-from-home feel. This is an ideal place for couples, whether you’re looking to completely unwind in tranquil surroundings or use it as a base for walking, kayaking, and getting active in the Abel Tasman region. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and can wholeheartedly recommend Ocean View Chalets to anyone visiting Marahau.

"Great location next to the beaches and places to get food and friendly hosts."

The bathroom was nice and I appreciated the extra amenities like the hair dryer and soaps. We also had a good view of the beach.

No cooling options for the night. Perhaps even a fan if air conditioning is not an option.

Ein tolles Haus in der Natur, sogar beim Erdbeben (5.3) safe. Viele Vögel zu beobachten.
