Tree House-Midigama

The tree houses are just amazing. So authentic and comfortable at the same time. The family host is simply the best, they welcome their guests in the best possible way with so much kindness and authenticity. Such a lovely experience. (And the value for money is crazy good!).

Staying in this treehouse was an unforgettable experience! The owners are the kindest people I've ever met. They welcomed us with delicious snacks, refreshing cold towels—so refreshing in the heat—fresh fruits from their garden, and delightful homemade lemon juice. As a thoughtful gift, they even offered us cinnamon sticks from their own tree! The treehouse itself is beautiful and has everything you need, including air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a toilet. Sleeping among the trees in the jungle is truly special. In the morning, even we told the owners that we are leaving really early, they prepare food for us. Breakfast was fantastic, featuring fruits, vegetables, and spices from their garden, which was simply amazing. This lovely couple truly embodies the warmth and hospitality of Sri Lanka. I can’t recommend this place enough!

It was my second time here and as expected had a perfect stay. This time I brought a friend and we rented both tree houses. It was so worth it! Amazing host, lovely family and amazing food! The tree houses are more than beautiful.

During my stay I felt a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. The hosting family members made me feel safe and let me truly enjoy this calm place. Making a childhood dream of living in a tree house into reality was frankly speaking the best part of my trip. Could only highly recommend this accommodation and hope to come back again one day!

We stayed in the tree house one night and it was just beautiful, as the house is really unique in its construction. The host family was super welcoming, greeting us with a 0km breakfast and garden tour. The location - amid the forest - is slightly far from the main road, we would recommend a motorbike or tuktuk. Totally recommended!

The experience was excellent. I did it for my son - as his dream was to sleep in a tree-house. Buttttttt, I did not realize that it would be so much fun. And that it would actually not be any 'hardship' but a mega enjoyable situation. You are in the middle of a jungle/forrest. From your shower / toilet you can observe the forrest. We did not take our luggage up to the house, it was easier just to pack what you need for the night and leave the lugg downstairs. Our tree house did not have any AC - but it was no issue. There was a fan right over your bed - completely enough. Also this tree house had a second floor - YES, a second floor - you could sit there, no windows, completely open to the nature. Amazing. I really recommend this stay. Even if just to experience once in your life time a sleep-over in a tree house. And really - no hardship. Comfortable place. I give 10!

Neranga and his parents are perfect hosts. They build the tree houses themselves and are very open to tell everything about their farm, the trees and the plants and how they use it in their tea, food and medicines.

Nothing

Lovely tree house with en-suite bathroom and 360 balcony on top. Owners were great and very accommodating. Nothing was too much. Can see lots of birds whilst having a shower. The owner’s son is very passionate about the business and the garden is super sustainable.

The ladders to the property were steep. The initial ladder could be replaced with better steps up to the house. There are some branches within the house which adds features and respects the tree but a couple were a trip hazard and one hits your head as you get to the balcony.

It's really a wonderful stay for me and my 3 year old son. The host Neranga and his father/mother are so welcoming, they prepared a surprise diner (all freshly prepared and cooked by his mom) and showed us around the garden for flowers, herbs, and vegetables. The father even showed son how to milk a cow, and 20mins later the milk is on our table for breakfast, the most fresh milk i ever had. The room itself is comfortable too, not huge but comes with hot bath, fan, air-con and even a small fridge. The father is a genius and the concept and design of the tree house is from him, i wish to come back again one day and wish the hotel prosperity.

I really can’t rate this property high enough, it was stunning from start to finish, the hosts, the home grown fresh produce and the tree house itself was all beyond our expectations Amazing Thank you xx
