I had a seamless check-in experience and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was exceptional, with immaculate cleanliness, ample space and beautiful decor. The gas stove and load shedding lights were especially helpful during power outages. The staff member Lungi was amazing, always assisting us with a smile. Pierre was a great help in planning our trip and proved to be an excellent host.

No soap in the bathroom and it was advertised as a 2 room, one with a sleeper couch, which it wasn't.

"Drive up Sanni Pass"

Close to Sanni pass. Close to SPAR Underberg. Great location. Gas stove and load shedding lights helped during load shedding Lungi the lady that welcomed us was very pleasant and helpful. She is an gem to this establishment.

Not all beds had electric blankets. Was cold in the rooms.

"Adventure at the bergs."

It was a cute little cottage, comfortable enough for a couple.

It is absolutely freezing there in winter so I suggest getting heated blankets or even one more blanket.

Excellent service and well kept cottage and property. Enough blankets and kitchen utensils etc. Enough lights during loadshedding and a gas stove. Wi-Fi worked well.

Only one shower in a 10 sleeper unit. TV didn’t work- only a DVD player

"Excellent (remote) location and service"

The location is stunning. We arrived late afternoon at the start of load shedding and were immediately upgraded to a cottage with a fireplace! It also had an extra bedroom, and we didn't have to share :) (The message said bring your own toilet paper but don't worry, there's plenty!) Underberg is a rural town, but has everything you may need. Got a beautiful, warm Basotho blanket, with an explanation of its specific cultural significance.

Not critique of Pennygum, but keep in mind that winter nights, and esp early mornings, are seriously cold. Book the fireplace if you can! Also, while the road from Howick was better than we feared, we did seriously damage a tire on our Hyundai Creta on a pothole. Just don't drive at night, don't drive fast and you should be fine.
