Wind Chalet

My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at Wind Chalet. The location offers the best view in the Koyna area, overlooking the Koyna backwaters, Koyna Dam, and surrounding hills. The rooms were comfortable, the homely food was fresh and delicious, and Vitoba, the caretaker, took excellent care of us throughout our stay.Wind Chalet is perfect for longer stays, with scenic walks to nearby villages and a peaceful atmosphere that's ideal for nature lovers, reading, and simply unwinding.

The property is a little old and could benefit from some upgrades, but the spectacular location, peaceful atmosphere, and reasonable pricing more than make up for it.

Host Vithobha was very good and the location was serene amd peaceful

Was with my little daughters and very senior citizen and it became scary in the night as it was glass all around and some sliding windows has their latches not locking. Consolation by caretaker Vithobha as property is safe was not helping when the night became too dark. Spent whole night quite scared for safety and security as the isolation became a big problem. It is nice only if you well built people who can manage safety and security. Though Vithobhas family was quite good and helpful but not enough to allay fears and some safety measures like openable iron grilles that can be closed would greatly help.

The location was superb, with views of the forest and the Konya lake. But the experience was made especially special by Vithoba and team, who were so proud of the place, so accommodating and helpful, supplying us with cups of tea during a very rainy few days, and more than happy to accede to our every request. It felt like a warm wonderful home stay, and that always makes a trip special for us.

We didn't have anything specific we did not like.

Location was perfect

Food served needs more variety both for breakfast and lunch/dinner . It becomes too much monotonous by eating same food as we stayed their for three nights . Also sometime food quantity and quality was also comprised .

Only the location was good.

Shabbiness of the room, stained toilet seat, faulty sliding door, no mosquito mesh, casual attitude of the housekeeper, limited choice of items in the menu, no mineral water bottles, and risky parking space.

The place was quiet and a perfect match for our requirement of serene, noise and pollution free surroundings. The caretaker Vithoba was very courteous and was very attentive towards our needs. He was assisted with Swapnil, a young lad who was agile and helpful. Since this place is in remote location, availability of items is a bit challenging and therefore one needs to give prior intimation of choice of your meals which you have to select from limited options. Recommend this place if looking for quiet stay without any disturbance and with minimal needs.
