Amazing view! Peaceful and comfortable little gem in the Monteverde area. Great kitchen! About 10-20 minutes from activities and shops.

The general road conditions are slow going (rough and unpaved) But the property was fine. Let’s us slow down and enjoy the scenery! There are bugs… but it’s in a rainforest so it’s expected.

The place is amazing! You have so much space and a well equipped kitchen. The views from the terrace are just beautiful and it is a quiet place in the middle of the nature. The beds were comfortable and we really could relax there. It is a little bit of a drive from town, but no problem if you have a car! The owner was caring and so friendly!

Nice view. Santa Elena Reserve, Zip line Tree Topia and El Tigre Reserve is very close.

There was terrible road. We paid for recomedned by host night tour and dinner 100 $ in neiberhood and it was the worst in whole Costa Rica.

The place was absolutely gorgeous. Very large, well equipped and well designed home on a gorgeous location where we felt home immediately. The wood stove was a nice addition and something we gladly used on cold mornings. The beds were excellent, blankets enough to keep you warm and the hosts wonderfully kind and attentive. A authentic experience and amazing value for your money.

There was nothing we didn’t like. However beware one of the beds downstairs is on wheels and we would not have been able to sleep there. If you are a large group and need more than 3 bed perhaps you want to ask for a stopper to stop it from moving. Also the showers were (luke) warm but you can’t turn them on too strong or the water (at least upstairs) turns cold. There is a laundry machine but beware, you need to manage the water level yourself and turn of the tap or it will flood. There’s no water stop or it is broken. These are minor things to be aware of that didn’t impac our stay in any way

It felt like you were living in the clouds with a wonderful view. We only stayed 2 nights but it had all the facilities you needed for a longer stay. A fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Sitting on the large balcony in the morning and the evening was glorious. We had a car but there is taxis/uber you can get to take you into the small town. Some of the trips offer pick ups.

The view from the deck was stunning. Damaris Y Ariana met us upon arrival and was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. The yard was beautiful with flowers and fruit trees. The house was comfortable with plenty of room for 2 couples. Damaris Ariana arranged a Night Tour and dinner at the farm next door (even walked us there in the pouring rain). David our night tour guide was well prepared, spoke perfect English and had a real passion for the eco-systems and small creatures of Costa Rica. The farm-to-table traditional dinner was delicious (the portions were very large). The chalet was clean and had most of the cooking amenities we needed. We would definitely return to this charming chalet.

Perfect location for us, having a car. 10 minutes from Monteverde, next to a farm and a small preserve with a nature trail. The host is so nice and helpful, with a fascinating family history.

We loved everything about this home.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The power flickered off one evening due to the high winds and the host checked on us to make sure we were okay. The view and balcony were great. We could see Nicoya Bay from the balcony. Nice sitting area to visit and relax.

There was a very strong mildew smell in the basement where two bedrooms and a bath were located. It definitely detracted from our overall rating. It was a little more rustic than we were used to, but nothing insurmountable.
