Lemberg Wine Estate

As described in pictures. Was a nice little spot for stopover and enjoying the area. Tulbagh is also not far from it.. also got some nice wines from the estate!

Really lovely for a quick stay. Room was very simple and had everything we needed for one night. Beautiful location!

Our only critique would be that the rooms could be cleaner, spiders and their webs removed, and floors swept.

The bathroom shower had blonde hair in it and my partner is a brunette. Give me an indication that the shower wasnt cleaned. There was broken glass in front of the bed and either myself or my partner could of gotten seriously hurt.

No meals The free wine tasting .... the wine, there were some good wines.

The room is misleading in the photos. The rooms are all joined together with separate entrances but one side is joined to another rooms bedroom and the other side the other rooms bathroom. There is ZERO Soundproofing so both partners either side were virtually in our room, one an hear EVERYTHING THEY SAY, COUGH, SNEEZE, LAUGH, MAKING OUT, IT WAS DREADFUL. THE AIR con did not work effectively to try to even drown them out. Needs a door on the shower loo area. Hard to fill up the water jug or kettle in a tiny hand basin. Pillows need to be replaced. Was an awful place, poorly thought out to build and obviously never tried to use to check Sound Proofing. Was going to buy wine in the morning but after zero sleep we just left.

We enjoyed their splendid wines and the beautiful everything at Lemberg Wine Estate including the mountain view. Perfect hosts and cute dogs. All well organized, well maintained and super clean. A perfect place for a nice braai as well.

The short dirt road from the tar road to the estate. But hey, it is South Africa and we have seen far, far worse.

We did not eat at the venue as we only stayed for one evening, but overall the experience was very good. Bed was very comfortable, toilets were clean, and the scenery was very beautiful.

I noticed there was no milk for the coffee to use in the morning in the room, usually at other guesthouses/wine farms they keep mil in the fridge or kitchen area of the room. I did not notice that in our room. In any case, the experience was still very good !
