Lemberg Wine Estate

The cottage is lovely, modern bathroom with bath and shower, large comfortable bed and bedroom. Private, surrounded by green lush grass and gardens, close to a dam with a pathway to stroll around.

Nothing major, but something that I've missed in my last 3x self catering stays at different establishments is that there was no access to a hairdryer, the one time I did not pack my own. For the rest, all requirements were met.

The staff was great. The welcome was good.

It would have been great if there was a swimming pool especially for guests with young kids. I know its a wine farm location with bugs. A more aggressive approach with bed protection would make a difference considering the amount of insect bites the next morning even after checking beds

Nice view of the dam. Relaxing atmosphere sitting outside . Very friendly overseer by name of Joe. He spent some time to chat to us telling us about the farm. He actually killed a massive spider outside our entrance where we were sitting.

It did not appear that the room was properly cleaned. Entrance very dusty with cobwebs. Inside floor was not mopped. We could hardly sleep with ants in the bed biting us. Discovered lots of ants behind bed on the floor as well as dust. No welcome drink and it was very hot. No aircon just a fan that did not help much. No television. We only discovered the following morning about wifi. Nobdy enlightened us. No clean drinking water in the unit.

Lovely setting. Great to have the wine-tasting included. Great, quiet aircon. The outside temp was 38 deg.

Apathetic staff. Had to ask for towels. Cheap coffee sachets. Very skimpy crockery for a self-catering place. Lacking a few basic hospitality touches.

Handy location in terms of the wedding venue we needed to be close to.
