Washpen Falls

Beautiful quaint cottage that was perfect for our 2 nights exploring the Methven and Mt Hutt. Red wine, wood burner and the opportunity to feel off grid. Would highly recommend and will be back!

It’s on it’s own overlooking farmland. Lovely fire and plenty of wood. The inner is nearby if assistance is needed. The door was open just let yourself in.

It’s just what I was hoping for.

We arrived to a fire roaring as we arrived late. The views and cottage were amazing!

Absolutely lovely location and a gorgeous little chalet. I fell in love with the comfort of the rocking chair spent a lot of time in it while reading in front of the fire. That was in-between trips out to the spa. If was quite cold while we were there but the chalet was lovely and warm with the fire going. We enjoyed watching the movement of the cattle out the dining room window and were happy with the privacy the hedge provided from all the traffic of people arriving over the weekend to go on the walk.

It wasn't a major issue just an annoyance, but the shower head was a lot lower than my height and I had to crouch a bit to wash my hair and I'm not quite 6'. And I was also looking forward to sitting in the spa while it was snowing... but the predicted snow didn't make it, just a whole lot of rain 😪
