Antler Lodge Traditional Log Cabin

We have been visiting this location and these cabin for over twenty years and the location is excellent.

After raising several serious safety concerns with the owner upon arrival, our worries were dismissed and completely ignored as they were away in America. We contacted them again to warn them about dangerous electrical issues and a leak under the sink. We had been told not to move the bowl placed beneath the leak, but it was positioned right next to a live socket, and the drip wasn’t contained — it was seeping out into the kitchen. The property does have some lovely qualities, but the lack of support after arriving left us feeling abandoned and ignored. This has been incredibly disappointing, especially as we were staying with our young family and were equally concerned for the safety of future guests. These issues urgently needed attention.

Being so close to Pucks Glen, lots of wild animals, red squirrels running about and friendly robins

May be some standard wine glasses would be good?

It's amazing spot. Close to many trails. Hosts are very friendly. I hope to visit the Fox Cabin again!

Clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Fantastic walks. Quiet location.

Lovely quiet location, easy distance from Dunoon with good facilities, this was a pleasant lodge ideal for a few nights. Good WiFi connection.

Brought our own pillows as feather pillows were mentioned in description but there was also feather duvets which 2 of us are allergic to. No freezer so no ice/frozen items. Quite dark, some of the lampshades were also wooden. Would have liked some drawers in addition to the open shelves.

host sorted out slight problem with hot water in the sink in the bathroom, and gave some good tips on things to see, very helpful

Brilliant place to stay with family, children ages 7 and 9 thought it was great and loved all the wee fox details. Close enough to Dunoon to drive in and out and close to lots of lovely forest walks and gardens.

A wee freezer in kitchen would have been a bonus.

Comfortable and in a quiet location

Shower could have been more effective. Also a freezer would have been useful for ice and cold boxes. These are first world problems!

Excellent location for the Puck's Glen waterfall trail and nearby walks. Easy access to shops and supermarkets with a fuel station less than ten minutes away. Secluded location with plenty of wildlife.

Would have been useful to have a freezer with the undercounter fridge when planning meals for the stay, but not really a problem with plenty of grocery shops nearby.
