Talasnal Casa do Cascão

Loved this remote village in the mountains. Do not expect to get here any other way than car or motorcycle! But once you arrive you will understand its charm! The Apartment is up some steep stairs and the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor.

Perfect spot ever! Great walks and enough wood to spend afternoons reading or baking! We've been twice already and won't hesitate to go back anytime soon!

The cleanest and most welcoming house we have enjoyed in our 3 weeks. This is an amazing and charming personal property. We fully enjoyed the bedding and well equipped kitchen. Perfect weather helped, but I could stay a week in the winter and feel cozy.

Casa do Cascão was everything we’d hoped for as a base in the schist villages. Central for the hikes we wanted to do. The early March weather was cold and we had some rain but the log burner in the house kept us toasty and warm. The house is furnished beautifully. The afternoon sun hits the terrace in March, just at the right time when we returned from our walks. A big thank you to Dinis for a warm welcome, we enjoyed the local liquor and food left for us. Highly recommended.

The temperature of the water in the shower could not be changed, luckily it was just right but could be too hot for some and needs attention.

The house has all the amenities for a wonderful stay. We stayed during the Christmas season and the house was lovely decorated. Top notch cleaning.

this is the kind of place you will never forget. Dinis met us at the car park and walked us to the house. He had a fire going for us and walked us around the place. We felt completely cared for here as we had just arrived that day and just need time to rest. This was the perfect place and just what we needed. The love that was put into this space can felt felt and it was enchanting.

The weather, but it also made for a perfect time to snuggle in a nest. just what we needed.

I loved the house, very comfortable and beautiful. I loved how it blends in the whole village and nature.

There's nothing I didn't like, I would only suggest that there were maps and suggestions of sights and trails for people to explore, even though the owner was helpful telling us in person what could be seen and done.

Beautiful home, very comfortable. The hiking is gorgeous albeit very strenuous.

Recommend a house sign. We arrived after dark and we’re completely lost trying to find the house. Also, we suggest having a few staples stocked (pasta, canned tomatoes, etc) because the restaurants were closed after our arrival at 18:30.
