Cosy and special experience… can see the sky from the rooms on the 3storey

Everything - location was right next to Hotel Sonne bus stop from where one can take direct bus to Ost, West and Wilderswil train stations. The property has all kitchen equipments and we could even cook Indian food easily. The rooms are spacious with one bathroom on first floor and one on ground floor. Lot of heaters in the property as well.

Everything was perfect.

Good price comparing to other availible places.

Unfortunately I didn't notice the recent bad comments before booking the chalet that reflects the reality. The most inconvenience of the facility is the mismatched bathrooms and sleeping rooms: one shower is on the ground floor while two sleeping rooms are on the second floor. Beds and mattresses felt like the cheapest ikea ones that none of the guests slept well. The garden is just like a trash storage place and there are big cockroaches noticed. Plenty of lights are not working all the time. Those poor conditions may not be a big problem for a group of 10 backpackers just looking for a place to gather together. Otherwise, I would say most hostels provide a more comfortable experience and this chalet is definitely overpriced.

Nicely located 3 level semi detached house. Close to bus stop and both train stations Interlaken West and OST in walking distances. Grocery store very nearby. Restaurants closeby. 2 bathrooms; 1 on living room floor and other on 1st floor. Attic level bedrooms have to use facilities below them. Spacious dining and living area. Very responsive and helpful host with clear instructions to reach property (which is via an alley from main road)

Points to note / Areas of improvement; Bathroom doors and their traditional lock and turn key mechanism troubled us a lot, better to upgrade them to regular ones to avoid someone getting stuck (just personal opinion, unless it is intentionally left to maintain 500 year old charm). Shower area was very small even for a normal built person.
