Peregrine Lodge - idillic Cornwall retreat

The site it was on lovely, going back there.

No toilet paper paper. No bag in waste bin No washing up liquid No hand soap in the kitchen. We normally use Sykes cottages, these are always provided. Toilet roll holder hanging from wall. Toilet seat insecure. Very poor cleaning had been done, oven was filthy. Mould on ceilings Insulation missing on heater socket in the bathroom This was by far the worst lodge on the site.

We liked the area and the fact they took dogs for the price we paid for 3 nights it met our expectations and we would book again. The area is safe and the park very well kept. Just one thing I don’t think it was noticed but a branch of a big tree had fallen on our cabin didn’t cause us a problem but no one around to inform about it.

It could have been cleaner and we noticed a bit of diy was needed. No cleaning things available I.e. washing up liquid dish cloths Or towels which was stated would be provided when we booked.

Good value for the time spent there

No tin opener and the DVD did not work and I had pacifically took a film to watch over the New Year

The lodge was cold on arrival the lady was under the impression the cleaner Had put it on .. my mum is 94 and it was to cold the the owner was on the phone But we watched a video on how to turn it on and my son came over .. There was dog poo on the veranda I put it in the bin the washing up browl was Full of water and tap bits cleaner hadn't been in for a while as the single bed sheets Where mildew on it .. but the shower was lovely

Heating when arrived .. hot water in the kitchen and the bathroom sink A clean veranda .. we where told by the estate manager that villa should Not have been rented out .. as parts of it are dangerous .. there was a tree Sat on the roof .. cooker was dirty . And only 2side plates lucky we went out for dinner As not enough of anything only 3 miss matches glasses .. But will say once we got the heating on it was cosy and beds where Lovely and comfortable .. I did clean up before I left stripped the beds and Wiped everything down

Felt like home.

Shower plug was thick of hair, hasn't been pulled out and cleaned.

First impressions were it looked abandoned, with thick cobwebs around the front door and big sections of the roof laying on the grass. Inside it’s damp and smelly, which the powerful plug in air freshener fails to mask. Wallpaper damp and peeling in a number of places. Mould on the walls. Outdoor chair cushions greed with mould. Bathroom fittings rusty. I could go on …….

Personel touches like dvds and games.

Spacious, clean and comfortable very happy.
