We had a wonderful stay at Doolittle Cottages in Swellendam. The setting is incredibly tranquil — waking up to donkeys and sheep grazing nearby felt like a true countryside escape. The cottage was spotless, beautifully maintained, and excellent value for money. The host was friendly, welcoming, and impressively efficient. Everything felt easy and relaxed. We would happily return.

Very cosy & spacious cottages. Hostess was very friendly & most welcoming. Offered everything one needs for a self-catering stay. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Swellendam. Hiking a trail in Marloth Nature Reserve is highly recommended, but decent shoes are necessary.

If we have to fault on something, then it's that there were no complimentary tea and coffee sachets.
