CASA DI ALEJANDRO

The "casa" is a splendid house in the old city, a few minutes' walk from the Kolona gate, the nearest point a taxi can drop you. The owner Alexandros and a friend had agreed in advance to meet us at the Kolona gate to help us with our luggage, as we are both now getting a bit frail, and we would have found it almost impossible without this help. There is good aircon on the ground and top floors, but only fans in the two bedrooms on the first floor, but as it was not midsummer this was adequate. There were supplies of coffee and tea and some bottled water to welcome us. The wifi was good. There is a charming little shady garden, and as a cat lover their presence there was a bonus. Alexandros was also helpful in taking care of our luggage till 4pm after we had vacated the property by the 12 noon checkout deadline, and again helping us to the taxi rank at the Kolona gate.

The stairs were a problem for us, but this is unavoidable and our problem, not the property's. We were surprised there was no olive oil amongst the welcome supplies, but bequeathed what we bought to the next guests.

Such a charming and exquisitely decorated home! This accommodation really enhanced our experience of Rhodes. It is in a prime but quiet location in the old town. We felt very privileged to stay here!

Nothing not to like!

The decor was very original and the bathtub in one of the bathrooms was amazing. Fully equiped kitchen with hot drinks.

Beautiful place with some wonderful features, immaculantly maintained. Please note that the main bedroom has a curtain screen but it's just fine and fits in well with the ambience of the property. The oOwner was extremely helpful e.g. He overheard us staying that there was no bread knife and a new one was waiting for us that evening

The location was exceptional! The property was very close to the shops and restaurants in the Old Town and only a short walk from the marina and a good supermarket. The property was quirky and had lots of character. We had everything we could have wanted and more. The owner greeted us and lived next door so he was on hand had we needed anything. This was the best accommodation we have ever stayed in.

Nothing. There are a lot of stairs in the property so probably not the best choice for a family with young children or people who may struggle with stairs, but it was no problem at all for our group.

Really stunning property, photos do not do this justice. Property situated 1 minute walk from the Hippocrates square, but far enough out for it not to be too loud. Host was fantastic, communication was great. Rhodes town is an absolute must visit, and this property will make your stay.

Main bedroom was a fan, but the rest of the property had air con. I would have like to have had a bath in the amazing ceramic tub, however there is no plug
