Comfortable and clean overnight stay. The four sleeper chalet has two en-suite rooms with one well-kitted kitchen and a braai.

The towels, oven and furnishings are a bit dated.

Accommodation was run down, very basic kitchen setup with minimal self catering items, bathroom was extremely small, run down and did not feel clean. There seems to be an ongoing problem with electricity (Not loadshedding) which also affects the water. We were only told about not having water after it was off late that afternoon (although looking back the owner seemed to know it was going to happen when we arrived) which resulted in not being able to shower that evening after a long day of travels. This seems to be a regular, known issue as the owner keeps a bottle of water next to the toilet to be able to flush however, he failed to check that ours had been filled in time and so we did not have any spare water in our room. The accommodation is based in a very run down local informal community which is approximately 80km off the main road which 55.5km of that is dirt road. Not a convenient place to stay if you are wanting to explore and go to the national park. There is nothing to do in the town - no shops, no restaurants, no garage and nothing to do or see and the accommodation was not nice enough to want to stay there all day. We camp a lot and so we are use to staying in places & camp sites that are basic. However, this has been the worst accommodation and experience that we have ever had. Unfortunately, the owner did not seem interested or concerned about our stay or why we decided to leave the very next morning even though we had booked to stay there for 3 nights. It is not worth the trip and is not good value for money. There are far better places to stay in the surrounding area's from our experience.
