Adorable Cabin in the Countryside

Peter was a great host. He met us to hand over the key, gave a thorough run-through of the facilities - including some we may have missed without his guidance - and then left us to have privacy for the rest of our stay. The cabin was absolutely spotless. It was beautifully warm and cosy and had all of the mod-cons you would expect in a hotel room including seating areas, a mini-fridge, a lovely warm shower, TV with lots of different channels and cups, plates and cutlery to enjoy a takeaway. There was nothing hut-like about it at all. The area was perfectly quiet yet just around the corner from our family in Portlaoise and all of the shops, eateries etc that the town provides. Breakfast was left in the fridge in the room for us and was great; pain au chocolat, fresh fruit, cereal and milk plus fresh orange juice, water from the well (how wonderful) and a great selection of teas and coffees. We are delighted to have found Peter, Yvonne and their establishment and we will be back many times in the future. Thank you both.

Very nice little cabin. Cozy and clean. It had everything you need.

The Continental Breakfast was lovely, with a selection of cereal, bottles of Milk, Orange Juice and Water in the fridge. The French pastries were delicious. The room was clean, well presented, lovely colour scheme, and very comfortable. The bathroom was also excellent.

There was a large electric water boiler for hot water for tea and coffee. It meant that the coffee in the morning was Instant, which is not great coffee if you happen to love your coffee like I do. I think a good coffee maker with the Pods offering different strengths of coffee, is much better than the Instant Coffee (which was not nice).

My mum and dad had the loveliest stay here. They said the bed was the most comfortable bed they had ever slept in, and the cabin was so well equipped and cosy. They loved they’re stay.

A warm welcome from Peter and the dogs. We had our own personalized information sheet. We felt very welcome and loved to stay at the place. Would have loved to stay a little bit longer. And we hope that one day, Peter will have the opportunity to sleep in this comfy bed. ;)
